[The below letter magically appears in each residence at the move-in hour of 9:00 a.m. Until read, it flutters close to the occupant and emits a high-pitched "Read me!" in a peculiarly familiar voice.]
Welcome to Hogsmeade Village! The Ministry of Magic congratulates you on your application and acceptance to the magical world’s first post-war live/work community. We are confident your experience will be a meaningful one, but its impact begins with you. Please keep the following in mind:
Communication is imperative to the success of a small village. We recommend that you introduce yourself to no less than five neighbors on this day. Whether war hero or war zero, you will depend on them in the coming months. Rest assured you are safe! The Ministry of Magic has made every effort to screen potential project participants.
To facilitate your introductions, Minister Shacklebolt wishes to graciously provide each of you with an enchanted journal. Please collect your journal from Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop. Good girls and boys will wait no later than 5:00 p.m. to do so.
The Three Broomsticks will play host to a meet-and-greet with Yours Truly, Rita Skeeter from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. this very evening. The first drink is free for Hogsmeade residents, but my autographs are limited and in high demand!
