The bright side: Foxglove won again!

The down side: I don't know how it happened, maybe just wear and tear, but I found out that my wand got a crack in it after the match yesterday, which made some spells difficult to cast. I'm glad Ollivander's has a branch here in the village though, because I only had to drop by during my lunch break to get it sent to repairs. It'll be a few days and I have a replacement wand for now, but at least I don't have to get refitted for a new one. I'm kind of attached to the one I have.

By the time Jimmy finished his shift at Foxglove, his cracked wand was the last thing on his mind. The apprentice at Ollivander's had said it would get fixed in a few days and he' get an owl when it was ready, so he trusted that judgment and put it out of his mind. He hung up his apron and headed out, intending to go to The Hog's Head for his meal. (It didn't have food as good as The Three Broomsticks', but it was cheaper.)

Along the way he passed by Qualitea, and felt a pang of guilt. He'd promised Romilda a while ago he'd try to drop by, but it had been weeks since and he actually hadn't. He wasn't sure why he was putting a visit off-- Isabel wouldn't actually mind if he visited what might be considered a competitor, and he had gotten over Romilda many many years ago. There was no reason to act like she didn't live in the very same village he did, especially since they were all grown-ups now and could be friends.

With that thought building up his courage, he opened the door and stepped inside.

Another Hogsmeade weekend gone and is it just me or do shops look a little more like a tornado just swept through them afterward? If you run a shop or work in one, I don't know how you do it but I hope all is well.
