I was just wondering if, in your time, there was any sort of spell that could be used to combat deafness? Or if you'd be interested in tackling the not inconsiderable challenge of attempting to invent one if there wasn't?

I reason if we have charms to silence things and make our voices louder, then we have to be able to ... do something for someone who's deaf.

And in the interest of this not getting around, I'd prefer you keep it under your hat. If we manage to make it work, I want it to be a surprise.

This really is quite ridiculous, poor Crookshanks hasn't left the bathroom since this all began!

If anyone's interested for now there are sticking charms to keep smaller objects where they should. I wouldn't recommend it on things you use regularly, obviously the name implies that. It can be used on people, but of course, because it's generally meant for objects the effect only lasts a only last a few hours. Plus there's not exactly a lot of freedom for movement once you're stuck. But it's long enough that you can stay in your seat and eat a meal without having to retreat to the bathroom. Or perhaps nap, or read without having to fasten yourself to the bed.

None of the sinking spells seem to work very well at all for me. I suppose it's just due to the magic requiring water. Weighting charms might work? Plenty of wizard and witches use those on their precious objects so they can't be stolen or teleported, due to being many times heavier than they should be - I just need to find one.
