I really can't believe I need to explain this, but apparently there is one really rude person who does not understand how proms work.
Proms are events held at high schools, so people who go are usually in high school. Either that or they are the college aged dates of people in high school. I know Lawndale has an age limit at their prom of 20, so really I'm being super nice by letting people who are 21 go! Proms aren't something you get to go to just because you want to go or think you can bully the committee into going. If that were true I'm sure my friend Sandi's mom would go and embarrass herself and everyone else there by wishing she were our age again.
ANYWAY I'M REALLY EXCITED AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FIRST EVER TRAIN PROM! It won't be as good as Lawndale's, but it'll be an okay substitute I think.
Count me among those who don't trust this. I was kidnapped about 3 months ago, and I've never known the train to do anything this nice. I'm not gonna lie, something doesn't feel right.
That said, I'm going to enjoy it while I can, and hope the fall out doesn't kill me.
[Katniss] Hey, you. I was thinking...we should hang out. Or something. I miss you.
[Prim] Hey you. Haven't heard a peep out of you for a while. You okay?
Right. Suppose I'd best make proper introductions. My name's Mandy Slade. I must say I hope not every week is this exciting for you lot.
Afraid I've no appreciable gifts or talents that are of much use at the moment. Even if I were the technically minded sort, it was 1975 before I wound up here so I'm not sure I'd have the slightest clue how to help.
On that note, would anyone happen to have any cigarettes they'd be willing to part with? I was desperately low when I got here and these past few days haven't helped that.
My name is Ice. I am a Peacekeeper, of District 2 in Panem. I have offered to train a young man in the ways of weaponry, and if there are others who would like to learn, I will be willing to teach you as well.
[The video comes on to a young man in his mid-twenties. Fit, tanned, and very attractive, his eyes - a bright sea-green color - are confused and he seems to be struggling to hold his concentration on the task at hand - which is operating the handheld device that he found in his room. He's dressed only in what appears to be a pale greenish hospital gown, and is making no particular effort to hold it closed. He looks rather lost, and perhaps too confused to even really be afraid. His eyes have circles under them, and a telltale puffiness that gives away that he's been crying recently, and perhaps for some time. He looks into the device finally, his eyes focusing for the most part]
Can someone tell me where I am? I don't think this is Thirteen anymore...did the Capitol get us?
I...I just...
[He trails off, distracted by a piece of rope he holds in his hands, quickly tying several knots before looking back at the screen]
