I should have let Tiamut take this world.

Having an extended honeymoon in the time stream wasn't what I was expecting when RayRay and I set out on our trip, but it's been a really interesting experience, looking through the history of this universe. Some things are the same. Some things are wildly different.

Thena in Mesopatamia? Hot. I mean that respectfully, of course.

No luck with Jemma yet, but I feel like we've gotten close a few times.

Anyway, I miss you all. How are my lovelies? What have you been up to?

Can't say I fancy being the one to point it out, but I can't be the only one who's noticed the mirrors in the woods, right?

I'd love it if someone just admitted it was a weird art installation for the season.

I am pleased to say that New Asgard is recovering from the recent strangeness that plagued our community. The damage sustained from the dragon attack all but disappeared completely after the battle. And though the people are shaken, they are strong.

That being said, if I can offer any assistance to anyone in need, please let me know.

Still not sure what clipped me when I was out flying just now, but I saw a really vague shadow on the water just before it happened. Please excuse the rather sizeable dent in the beach. I promise to fill it back in once my ears stop ringing.

You're not around to see this, but you will some time. I hope it will be sooner than later. I came apart when I found you were gone. I hurt people and could have killed someone. I feel like any control I've managed to pull back over the last year is slipping away. I'm feeling isolated again. The last time that happened, with Gil in the desert, I lost who I was. I don't want to lose myself again when we have each other now. But mostly, I don't want to be gone when you come back. I don't want you to lose me, and be alone. I love you.

There's got to be something more we can do about these portals. Is there no way of tracking them? We know by the fluctuation in the energy signature when someone comes through the main portal we have at the Facility. It sounds like the Red Portals have a different energy signature. Have we been able to trace it? We've got the best minds in the god damn universe here. We're better than these damn portals. We should be able to figure this out.

Makes a body wonder why one bothers.

A few of my people wish to return to our ship in orbit and live there until the situation with the red portals has been resolved. For anyone who wishes a similar refuge, you are welcome to stay there too. So far I have not heard from any incidents in other realms.

I hate to add bad news to bad news, but I just saw Clark and Karli get pulled into a portal from across the street. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to keep either of them from it.

For those of you unaware, my brother is among the missing. Any matters regarding Asgardian affairs need to be directed to me.

The house has suddenly become very empty.

I just had the most bizarre experience when I was walking back to the Consulate a few minutes ago.

An older woman with a tiny dog stopped me on the sidewalk, thanked me for being—and I quote—"a very attractive young man", and handed me a $100 bill.

I know I'm a little removed from humanity, but does this happen often?

I was never one to partake in celebrations, generally. I usually had other priorities, but I appear to be more tolerant now in my old age.

However, what has not changed is I am not remotely domestic. I can only imagine what Gil might have attempted for Thanksgiving.

I saw an old friend today who I never expected to see again.

Kingo, if you see Ikaris here in this house, he's here upon my invitation. And based on my insistence, I'm hoping to have him here more often.

And my ghost visitor was Gilgamesh.

Just as more of my family is taken, I see one member I never thought I would.

These hauntings seem unnecessarily cruel.

As we turn over a new month and move into shorter days and cooler weather, I am forcibly reminded of the differences between this world and the one I come from. Asgard is forever in my heart, and settled in the back of my thoughts, as I know is the case with many of my Asgardian brothers and sisters here on Midgard.

Though we will never forget our home, we also are embracing living here on Midgard. I, for one, am excited to see what Fall brings us. (Or is it Autumn? Are they the same? Am I missing some nuance in the language?)

Sorta random question, but did this planet used to have something huge buried in it that's since been replaced by an object of the same weight and mass?

I know there are still a few weeks left of summer, but I'm looking forward to autumn. I haven't experienced autumn weather for a long time.

The whole evening keeps coming to me in fits and starts, but I'm not really clear on the sequence of events. What I really want to know is...

Always figured myself for a pragmatist, but evidently I'm leaning more towards pessimism these days.

I had to take a visit to the portal room today. Security said there was an iguana looking for me, or rather una iguana de apoyo emocional. Her words, not theirs. She speaks Spanish. She'd been in the portal room for a few days, but just started talking now and wanted me to come get her. I met her in Peru but she didn't talk then.

It took a few hours of convincing people that I wasn't a spy, but here I am, online at long last.

Okay, so I don't mean to alarm anyone—which is pretty much guaranteed to do just that (sorry)—and maybe this is something the people of this world already know or maybe its normal for here, but...

And let me preface this by saying that no, I don't know how, and I really don't know why...

This world is broken.

There's something missing, something that's making it broken.

I can feel it like an ache at the back of my jaw. Figured it was just the residual backlash from what happened to me right before I got here, but it's not that. I can sense when things want to be whole, and your Earth has been kicking off those vibes since I got here.

Since we're apparently doing our periodic re-introductions, I'm Storm. That's my legal identity in the nation of Krakoa, where I serve on the Summer Court of the Quiet Council, and on the planet Arakkoa which is the capital of the Sol system and where I am Queen Regent. In America, Kenya, and Egypt, where I've also lived, my legal name is Ororo Munroe. I used my married name in Wakanda but otherwise I went by Ororo there as well. If you're wondering which to use, they're both "real" and neither is more valid than the other. Use whichever you like.

Here I run the educational program, which you can read about here. It's strongly encouraged for those who haven't yet completed high school but only mandatory for under 16s. At home I spent some years as Headmistress of a school for mutants, people who have a particular genetic mutation which causes them to develop special abilities. Many of them couldn't control their new powers and weren't suited to mainstream schools and we helped to solve both of those problems.

On another note, Valentine's Day is February 14th, Easter is the fourth week of April, and next month is Spring. It would be nice to take advantage of the weather starting to warm up for some social events.

The information provided by Mr. Stark on the data pad was most help, and I appreciate Derek for being so kind to us when we first arrived.
