Hi, this is going to sound kind of awkward, but my whole life is actually pretty awkward so this really actually quite normal. Your friend Cisco, who is my boss, but he's still cool even though he's my boss... but that's beside the point, ANYWAY! A Month ago before a bunch of us all disappeared, he mentioned that you were looking for more friends? And that you missed home. And I was like, well I could be someone's friend and I miss home too! Well I sort of do. I was actually intentionally leaving my home before I came here, but... yeah that's a tangent, I do that a lot.

I almost forgot what it felt like to not be sick. I've been functioning with migraines since I arrived here. To not have any at all is..I almost don't want to say anything but now it's been nearly a month without. I think I can say it now.

Just about settled into my place now. Unboxed the last box tonight.

For the interested: Science lab walk through will be happening on Monday next week.

HI WOW! I just have to say that I’m really impressed. When I got here and they told me I was in the 21st Century, I was just a bit concerned. Like, I know humanity was advanced enough to develop the warp drive and the theory of alternative realities already exists, but still it’s only 2019. I wasn’t expecting this! It’s great!

AND YOU STILL HAVE BOOKS RIGHT? I looooove books! We don’t really have any where I come from. Well we have books but on screens not with paper. It so nice to just feel it and to flip pages you know? My friend Michael had a copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Anyway, this is all really confusing because I actually was supposed to be going to the future. It’s a long story, but basically we were trying save the known universe by getting preventing a super computer from taking over our really advanced ship.

But it is weird that I’m here and not with my crew. Is anyone here from the USS Discovery? You know, reach out if you are! Or if you’re with Starfleet! Officers, Petty officers, cadets, or lower decks it doesn’t matter! I don’t discriminate!

I guess the one good thing about this is my Mother can’t call me if I’m in the past.

Oh which, by the way, I know this really nifty datapad says my name is Sylvia Tilly, but you can just call me Tilly. My parents are the only ones that call me Sylvia. It’s kind of a Starfleet thing; we mostly just go with surnames. Though I call Michael by her first name... that’s weird now that I think about it. Or I called her Commander. That makes more sense. I mean maybe if I was dating someone they’d call me Sylvia? THAT has not happened in a long time though. Sorry that’s probably too personal.

Okay, I wrote a lot of things. I'm just going to stop here and post this. Also, how does food work here? I could really go for some ice cream.
