It never seems like I come with good news, does it? For that, I'm sorry.
We're well aware of the disappearances of the last two weeks and our science team has been trying to determine a cause. As seems to usually be the case, the workings of the portal are far beyond anything we can understand. We're fortunate that a large number of people returned within the first few hours of us becoming aware of the disappearances.
I don't even begin to understand the physics of it, but the fact that we don't have any evidence of history changing, or that some people were sent to future dates and events that could not have happened any longer, suggests there's more at play here, just like some of the times and places we portaled have come from.
If anyone is still missing, please let us know. We're trying to get a headcount of who's been gone and who's still here.
