Multiverse of Madness

There was a small fire in my apartment on New Year's Eve. My walls smell like smoke.

Having an extended honeymoon in the time stream wasn't what I was expecting when RayRay and I set out on our trip, but it's been a really interesting experience, looking through the history of this universe. Some things are the same. Some things are wildly different.

Thena in Mesopatamia? Hot. I mean that respectfully, of course.

No luck with Jemma yet, but I feel like we've gotten close a few times.

Fanny and I have moved back into my flat. For the time being, Fanny and I will be available in room 1-G of the Avengers Facility.

Hey, so, (not-so-)funny story. I showed up for work this morning and got told I don't work there? Like, at all. Ever. Which is lies because I've worked in that store for weeks now. Bit frickin' weird, right?

Steven is Dr Steven Grant from London, Egyptologist (lecturer in Archaeology and Ancient Languages at Cambridge university, goes off on lots of digs and field trips which is handy) and Avatar of Khonshu, Egyptian god of the Moon and the Night Sky. Marc Spector is a fictive alter of Dr Grant, who's an explorer! He's just recently found out that he is ALSO an Avatar of Khonshu, and that is the Best Thing. He's like Rick from The Mummy, only a bit more up to date. Please, confuse the absolute frick out of them!]

With both Eliot and Magnus gone, the future of Threshold is kind of up in the air. All of Eliot's wards are also gone, so everyone can get into everything now. Management is currently being maintained by someone from Stark's entertainment division (I had no idea that was a thing until recently, but it's a thing), but I'm sure Eliot and Magnus would have loved it if it was being handled by one of our own.

tl;dr: Anyone have any interest in running a nightclub?

I think we can all agree that the recent madness has died down. However, what I am a little less clear about is why exactly it happened in the first place.

Still not sure what clipped me when I was out flying just now, but I saw a really vague shadow on the water just before it happened. Please excuse the rather sizeable dent in the beach. I promise to fill it back in once my ears stop ringing.

Guess I should say hi. I've been here a few days now and Steve filled me in on the whole alternate universe thing and how I've been here a bunch of times and never stayed long. Apparently I'm from an earlier point in the timeline though and I have no memories of being here before so I apologize to anyone who knew me previously.

Glad to hear you all managed to stop Thanos in this universe. The past couple of years have been rough at home.

After a few trials and errors, I figured out a decent drink for trans pride.

That was certainly an adventure in a world I'd prefer to not visit again. I'm sure Klaus agrees.

A few of my people wish to return to our ship in orbit and live there until the situation with the red portals has been resolved. For anyone who wishes a similar refuge, you are welcome to stay there too. So far I have not heard from any incidents in other realms.

Last night I had a dream that I was looking into another world through a red portal and a moment later got pulled in. The place was beautiful, with huge trees and a waterfall and a rainbow, but I was angry that I was there because it wasn't home. I tried to turn around and go back through the portal, but it closed up before I could. I think I might have screamed. That was when I woke up.

I guess it was inevitable that my subconscious would get in on the red portal worry game.
