It would seem that the Powers That Be deemed me fit to have my license back, and to practice psychiatry again (thanks for that present, Babsy!). So, I have official office hours, and a nice new comfy office right down the hall from Sam. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. I'm gonna take the weekend off, but I'll be on call if there's an emergency.

I've also turned one of the training areas into a rage room, because not everyone feels comfortable talking things out. Sometimes, you just gotta break shit.

Never been one for holidays myself...especially since my Dad tended to prefer working...and by working I mean forcing me to use my powers to steal for him. So, think I might just cuddle up on Thursday and watch horror movies. Who's with me?

D&D Private Investigators have an office all set up in town and even our first few cases on the books. Which I'm allowed to feel accomplished about, right? The mysterious appearance of my business account from home certainly helped.

Good news is you can definitely get your license here, I have the application for you. Bad news is there's an exam, but I can help you study for that, no problem. Technically you don't need a license in this state to work for an established PI agency, if you don't want to go through all that, I'm the licensed one so you can skip it. You also need to get your fingerprints on record with the state.

I'm actually quite looking forward to the cold weather. It gives an excuse to curl up under a blanket with a good (or sometimes bad?) book, some mulled wine (or hot chocolate) and relax. Or is that just me?

Hey, River’s gonna have a real hard time with this, she’s never been in a world where Simon ain’t.

I’m tryin’ to keep her calm best I can, tho she’s got every right to be hurting so much.

I need help- I think Simon had her on some kinda treatment? Maybe? ‘least he did back on Serenity. Helps her cope, keep a handle on things better even when she ain’t going through something like she is now. I ain’t got a good gorram what he was doing for her in this world.

Reminder that if you want somewhere really low key to hang out, the quiet room in office #117 has jigsaws, colouring books, kinetic sand, and a few other things like that to play with.

And since it's still sort of warm out, if you want to meet Percy we're going to be on the lawn behind the residential area. He would love to bring you things. Sometimes you don't even need to throw them first, the other day I started with one stick and ended up with four.

I'm also wondering if it would help to have somewhere people could write notes about those who've left. Sometimes writing things down, having a tangible reminder that they were here, can be comforting.

Hey. If you don't already know, I'm currently down in Louisiana with my sister and the boys. When they came through the portal the versions of them that were here now disappeared, so we have a bunch of things we need to deal with since we have a house and a business there.

Happy fall, everyone. I arranged transport from the facility, New Asgard, and Little Wakanda to a local pumpkin patch on Sunday. The buses leave their respective areas at 11:00 a.m. You'll be able to pick, carve, and paint pumpkins while drinking apple cider and munching on cider donuts. I hope you have a wonderful time.
