Soo. I've been thinking of a way to track the red portals. All portals leave behind a sort of signature, even the reds. I've been hesitant to really delve into them because well...Been a bit gun-shy with anything HYDRA related. Considering what we're up against though I think it's necessary to at least aide in building something in regards to it to hopefully put an end to it. Portals are kind of a specialty. I can't get a lock on them with my powers alone, so we need to build something to do so. I'm going to need assistance from you all to get it done.

Fitz emailed me some notes about a device he's been making. Figure we could all lend a hand and finish the creation?

I think we can all agree that the recent madness has died down. However, what I am a little less clear about is why exactly it happened in the first place.

Apologies if Kaldur has already messaged you about this. But while he and I were away through the red portal we got a tiny piece of information about them.

We met a sea goddess and she told us that the magic behind them was beyond her knowledge but the forces creating them aren’t friendly, they’re searching for a way home, ripping through realities until they do, but if that happens it’ll mean the end of our little community as we know it… we’ll be overrun and destroyed. I don’t usually spook easily but when a goddess issues a warning you have to take it to heart.

Long story short; we need to stop the portals and the beings behind them, which are probably the demons we’ve seen pop up. They’re unfriendly and powerful, right?

Where is everyone, or when? I was literally gone twenty minutes!

I’m just going to assume the same thing happened to the entire compound as it did to me and you’re all in weird parts of this world’s history too. Which means I’m on my own, and talking to myself… and I also have free reign in the kitchen with nobody to judge my eating habits.

I didn’t mind a (very) brief trip to San Francisco, but the giant Thomas the Train toy smashing up a building was pretty intense.

I’m just going to wait here and hope that you guys are going to all reappear.

My apologies for canceling today's classes, and I fear I must do the same for tomorrow. I appear to have come down with a "bug", as you surface-dwellers call it.

Anyway, space is amazing. Seeing Saturn up close on the way out was incredible.

On the other hand, nobody told me that cabin fever was a thing in space. In retrospect, it makes sense. You're cooped up in a relatively limited space (unless it's a truly ginormous ship) and it's not like you can step outside for a breath of fresh air if it gets to be too much.

Still, it's worth it. Space! I'm in space! And alien planets!

ETA: Also, Clark is right. Artificial gravity is...weird. It feels like I'm wearing those magnetic boots from The Expanse...but all over.

So, a few minutes ago, I was definitely still in bed, sleeping in, because that's what I do.

...That's obnoxious. Guess i'm a week older now. Normally I'd blame the Flash for time shenanigans but looks like Barrys clear and free in this one. I've been trying to send this forever now. Or well apparently 7 days? I feel sufficiently trolled by the portal and would like it to stop now.

I woke up this morning to find my wardrobe--my entire wardrobe from home--hanging in my closet and/or neatly folded and stored in drawers. All my lovely work clothes, and my shoes! All my shoes! And...everything else, she added demurely.

I know the portal is throwing all kinds of weird shit stuff at us lately, though it hasn't hit me yet. But this was a pleasant sort of change, and I'm going to enjoy it.

So, ah, trying to get my life more together. As long as I'm here, might as well, right? Not much better to do and believe me, wallowing in self-pity only gets you so far.

So, ah... I'm a photographer? And scienecy! So sciencey! Mostly biochem, little engineering. Never did quite finish that doctorate though... Oh! And I taught high school science for a while!

If I'm going to be stuck here for an indeterminate period of time, I'm going to need to line up some sparring partners other than my parabatai. Any takers?

Well, at least I'm not glitching out this time around. That's a plus. Free room and board sounds pretty nice too these days. Pretty sure the room they assigned me is bigger than my apartment back home.
