Soo. I've been thinking of a way to track the red portals. All portals leave behind a sort of signature, even the reds. I've been hesitant to really delve into them because well...Been a bit gun-shy with anything HYDRA related. Considering what we're up against though I think it's necessary to at least aide in building something in regards to it to hopefully put an end to it. Portals are kind of a specialty. I can't get a lock on them with my powers alone, so we need to build something to do so. I'm going to need assistance from you all to get it done.

Fitz emailed me some notes about a device he's been making. Figure we could all lend a hand and finish the creation?

Guess I should say hi. I've been here a few days now and Steve filled me in on the whole alternate universe thing and how I've been here a bunch of times and never stayed long. Apologies if Kaldur has already messaged you about this. But while he and I were away through the red portal we got a tiny piece of information about them.

We met a sea goddess and she told us that the magic behind them was beyond her knowledge but the forces creating them aren’t friendly, they’re searching for a way home, ripping through realities until they do, but if that happens it’ll mean the end of our little community as we know it… we’ll be overrun and destroyed. I don’t usually spook easily but when a goddess issues a warning you have to take it to heart.

Long story short; we need to stop the portals and the beings behind them, which are probably the demons we’ve seen pop up. They’re unfriendly and powerful, right?

So uh, I have a weird question. But it’s really important.

Do super soldiers hibernate? Is it a thing they do to protect their metabolism? Or heal?

I only ask because I found Sgt. Barnes out cold under an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Which isn’t a usual napping spot.

It is the time gem that has caused the time loop. The measures we've taken during the night confirm it. I know not why it has suddenly shown up here as it was said to be missing.

Please be advised there is an emerging situation happening at the Lighthouse.

At 20:37, the seismic sensors registered a low level tremor consistent with a detonation located at the Lighthouse coordinates. The event repeated minutes later.

Eyewitnesses in the area have described an explosion that levels the Lighthouse, but couldn't get closer. They said a green flash of light accompanied every reset. I've sent a team to establish a perimeter and ask that no one goes near until we find out more. Tony is sending in people to make sure the public and the media stays out of this. Team Science, I'd love you to weigh in.

It's probably too early to say anything, but it's about time we had some good news around here, so I'm saying it anyway.

I'm developing an early warning system for the red portals.

I don't expect it will entirely prevent disappearances, as the energy signatures appear to only become readable within minutes of the portal appearing. The ultimate goal is to alert anyone within proximity of an emerging portal in hopes that they can evade it. So far the sensors have a limited range and have proven unstable even under lab conditions, but I think I've found the right balance of power and sensitivity and am building a new prototype now. Once complete, I'll be testing around the Lighthouse for ease of monitoring, and then distributing from there given appropriate circumstances and materials/ability to replicate. With everything going on, I've been thinking about the past. All the things we've been through. I miss... I don't know. Did something happen in Sokovia recently?

There are huge amounts of Portal activity in Sokovia. Plus seismic spikes. Some of the portal energy signatures track with those of Cisco's creation.

The Waverider and ATOM are continuing to monitor and hopefully can pinpoint an exact location.

Is an extraction plan in progress?

I am concerned about Mr. Ramon. His network conversations were out of character for him and as a precaution I attempted to locate his device. It is decidedly not in New York at the conference he was to be attending, but rather it is located in Europe. I am attempting to narrow down the exact location now, but as the device was disconnected after my attempt it will be approximate from when the last message was sent.

So. Do you realize it's been a full year together now?

This is a ride I never thought I'd take except I guess I already, but here I am.

Need a few to settle in and wrap my head around all this, but then I think I'd like an in-person conversation or five with a few of you. I have a feeling we've got a lot to discuss.

I did some investigating, felt like being back in my old world, if I'm honest. There's definitely paranormal activity occurring in the Hangars and Garages. Though the portal seems to be negating the supernatural energy in the area directly adjacent to it. I have a warded necklace which dulled the terror enough for me to poke about thoroughly, but aside from my lizard brain going crazy there's absolutely nothing physical in any of the areas. The iron sword didn't repel any creatures, neither did the silver one. Of course they could be existing on a slightly different plane so we can sense them but not see them.

On a related note. The Cross of Belial is still secure? Now we have werewolves and a vampire in residence it should definitely be behind lock and key. With all this strange energy around I wouldn't be surprised if something had sensed its presence.

Nothing will prepare you for the joy of a child reunited with her toys. I imagine it's secondary to her inevitable reunion with her best friend, and thirdly to her parents' relief at finally being back.

This is so different from Amestris. The technology is much more advanced than back home. We had simple telephones and trains. I would venture to say that automail was perhaps the most advanced technology we had. This is... impressive, to say the least. Personalized databases isn't something you would have seen in Amestris. It’s a comfort Black Hayate is here. At least something is familiar.

WW2 aside, I think I’ll miss 1943. Or at least I’ll miss the friends I made. Just as I missed my friends here while I was away.

I’m sorry if my absence caused any concern. Both myself and Krypto are back from our time and multiverse travels. For once I’m not entirely convinced that the portal was to blame for our sudden dispersal to different times and places. But I’m sure the science and magic teams are investigating.

(We're sticking with calendar dates, for the record, it's still my 40th.)

I thought I should update you on the outcome of our search for HYDRA. When we got to the supposed base of operations for their portal team, we found absolutely nothing. The entire facility has vanished. No sign of HYDRA, or their portal. Clint and Dick are still following up some loose ends, though they are few. It’s unclear whether the base was totally destroyed, sucked through the portal, or something else entirely. But Clint is intent on finding out.

In other news, the satellite we were having trouble with is no longer in a problematic orbit.

Times like these weigh heavily on our mental health, and can take their toll in unseen ways. Some of you may know that I am a qualified Physchotherapist. Though with Sam established here, I was disinclined to step on his toes. However, as he is currently out of the office, I can make myself available for people who need a safe space to talk. I'll be set up in Dr Quinn's former office for a few hours each evening.
