Hey, so, Dylan's birthday is tomorrow, and I want to try to do something for him like you might celebrate on the Continent. I should've asked weeks ago, but... life, y'know? Also, I'd ask Jaskier, but I think you two would have a better idea of the things Dyl would enjoy doing.

Okay, so the mood is understandably somber for obvious reasons, and I think we can all agree that no one wants fireworks nearby, but is anyone interested in trying to throw together a little Fourth of July picnic on the lawn at the Facility? Super low-key. Just a little food, a little music, maybe some lawn games and dancing. Anyone up for it?

Totally get it, if not.

New Asgard is awfully quiet with half of its people up on the Statesman. The instances of Red Portal activity here have dwindled, though we are still sending our strongest members to patrol the woods nearby. Keeping an ever watchful eye.

I am very much looking forward to celebrating the fireworks holiday with my Midgardian friends.

In lieu of the pitiable lack of the planned beach soiree—and my condolences to those affected by the latest of these such abductions—and at great personal risk as I at long last put myself physically near the village of New Asgard, I plan to hold a performance of my greatest hits and a few new ones on the waterfront. Bring your blankets. Bring your tankards. Bring your smiling faces.

Jaskier has been gravely hurt. He is here in the Medical Wing at the Facility getting the finest of care. I found him outside of New Asgard, on the side of the road. I will stay here with him to ensure his recovery, though I imagine he would much rather have you by his bedside when he wakes.

Two weeks have gone, and I've only scratched the thinnest membrane of this wild and wondrous world. I have yet to plumb the depths of such a luscious fruit!

I'm not so oblivious or wrapped up in my own discoveries not to sense the overhanging mood among my fellow refugees. How do you all fare, my loves and lovelies?
