Just a friendly reminder that La Sirene is having its grand opening next week on Friday, August 13th. The opening will be ages 16 and up, but if you are a under 21, you will be carded, and don't even think about trying to get a fake id past me. I've seen it all.

There will be free cover, drink specials, and the club's full menu will be available. Doors open at 9.

We'll be having events in the future, such as speed dating, karaoke, and live entertainment, which I will be posting about here.

Finished all my work for the day so I'm gonna call it here with a tie. Today's lesson is people have different tastes, who knew?

There's been a lot of talk happening over the last few days, not all of it public, so I wanted to go for full transparency about my status after Friday's visit. I'm including some recent history and context here - you can read more about it online if you haven't already, but people turning up from other worlds aren't usually going to know to look for the information so I'm laying out a brief summary to start you off.

A couple of years ago there was a proposal for an international treaty called the Sokovia Accords that would regulate how people like the Avengers or the various unaffiliated superhumans would be allowed to use their powers. In theory it was a reasonable idea and we might have been able to figure out something that everyone could agree on, except that during talks there was a terrorist attack on a UN debate and James Barnes was framed for it. Steve and I had been searching for him after he escaped from being held prisoner and we were able to find him during the aftermath, but through him we learned that the group that had held him, HYDRA, had created other super soldiers as well and the person who was really behind the UN bombing was on his way to take control of them. We were under extreme time pressure and when several other team members attempted to arrest us for not bringing Barnes in I made a sacrifice play to give them time to get to the location. A few others and I were held in an off-shore facility until Steve got us out and since then he and I had been running ops trying to locate and destroy alien technology that had been left behind during the Chitauri invasion while remaining in hiding. When the portals started opening we came back to the US knowing that we still had open warrants. Those are both decisions that I would absolutely make again if I was in the same position today.

It's good to have the chance to get our legal status settled, though. I sat down with the government's representatives today to discuss a few alternative scenarios and we have mutually agreed that the best thing for everyone is if I remain here full time. I've offered to be on hand to fly rescue missions when I can - the wings I have now are a lot better than the government's design and there's basically no one else left who can operate them anymore - but I'm not the only pararescue in the world. I'm needed here and this is going to remain my priority. I won't let the military's interests compromise my work with all of you and luckily when they listened to my arguments on the subject the government realised I was right.

On another note I'm going to put Inside Out on tonight, but for tomorrow I've managed to dig up an old sci fi 80s classic, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. It should be fun.

Anyone else starting to feel like we're in a little over our heads here? I've dealt with weird things but we're kind of on the edge of that now.

Okay, we've been over that edge for a while.

It took some arranging with King T'Challa, but I can finally make this announcement.

I'm opening a nightclub in Little Wakanda, hopefully around some time next month. We've got the crew, and construction is underway to get everything set up.

So, next month, everyone is invited to attend the grand opening of La Sirène. The opening will be all ages, however, I will be carding, so if you're not 21 or older, no alcohol for you. And those under 21 will be given a wristband at the door, so don't even think about it. I'm not going to get shut down because some dumb teenager wants to get shitfaced.

In the meantime, I'll be holding interviews for bartenders, bouncers, wait staff, and in-house entertainment. No creeps allowed.

Once again, a special thank you to King T'Challa, who was very helpful in providing me with the space and funding to get this up and running.

It's been almost a week and I'm still stuck here, so I suppose I ought to introduce myself.

Due to recent events, and then again to even more recent events, we're making some changes to the security protocols around here. We will no longer be using biometrics to grant access to compound facilities. Effective immediately, or as immediately as we can get these things distributed, you will need a personally-assigned keycard or badge to gain entry. Lanyards or badge reels will be provided upon request or forced upon you if you fail to keep tabs on the keycard.

You may find that you no longer have access to certain areas of the compound, particularly the garage. We're not running a rental service here, but if you do need to borrow a ride, the car keys are available in a locked valet box by the door. Be respectful. Some of these cars are classics.

I know I'm not the only one who isn't enjoying sitting on her ass all day. So I'm just going to straight-up say it.

I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Ahsoka Tano, and it's my understanding that most beings from Earth have not seen anyone like me. By that, I mean my species. I'm a Torgruta I'm from another galaxy, one that's seen its fair share of tyranny and despots. I'm what some might call a Jedi. I grew up in the Jedi Temple, and then when I was fourteen, I became the padawan learner to a Jedi Knight, and I was commander of the Galactic Republic's 501st battalion during the Clone Wars. After that, our galaxy was ruled by a Sith Lord name Darth Sidious who squeezed the people to the point that some rebelled. I understand that some of you may have met Leia Organa. Bail Organa, her father, was one of my closest friends and helped me to establish the Rebel Alliance.

I can fight. I have tactical skill. I'm good (not expert) at mechanics and engineering. If you need help, please, simply say so and you will have it.

Hello! I'm Ochaco Uraraka. I'm sixteen years old, I'm a first year student at U.A Academy, where I'm in the hero class. My quirk is zero gravity, which means I make things and people float by touching them. Assuming that people have quirks here. I've been here for a couple of days, but I really haven't talked to a lot of people yet.

I'm still getting used to everything. This definitely isn't something that covered in any of my hero training. Alternate dimensions wasn't exactly on the lesson plan.

But anyway, even though being in a new world is a little scary, I like making new friends, hopefully, I can get to know some of you!

I plan on exploring Gotham one more time, even if I feel like it's not my Gotham. Does anyone want me to bring something back?
