It's probably too early to say anything, but it's about time we had some good news around here, so I'm saying it anyway.

I'm developing an early warning system for the red portals.

I don't expect it will entirely prevent disappearances, as the energy signatures appear to only become readable within minutes of the portal appearing. The ultimate goal is to alert anyone within proximity of an emerging portal in hopes that they can evade it. So far the sensors have a limited range and have proven unstable even under lab conditions, but I think I've found the right balance of power and sensitivity and am building a new prototype now. Once complete, I'll be testing around the Lighthouse for ease of monitoring, and then distributing from there given appropriate circumstances and materials/ability to replicate. I originally wanted to make portable censors but the

It's going to take some time, but we will get to the other side of this.

[Cisco and Henry]

I wouldn't mind a second and third pair of eyes on these new schematics before I use up the last of this steel-polysiliconate I made.

That's good news! Any kind of warning is something we need. Good job, Fitz.

It will be a good job when it works. But the technology is at least possible now, where it was not a month ago.

[Alec]

Probably doesn't need to be said, but the girls are banned from the lab starting now until this phase is complete.

That's better than nothing.

[Fitz]

Got it. We'll make it clear on our end to Madzie to stay out of the lab.

Thanks. The doors will be locked, but I'd rather keep them out of the area, just in case I forget.

Will do. When we've got the girls, we'll just keep them distracted in the loft or just go out.

I will figure it out. It's only time and the potential damage that's a factor.

In case you need any help (but if you don't that's you know also fine!) I was helping the Peters on experiments for the same thing.

Once I've got a stable prototype and have requisitioned the materials to build more, I'll need all the steady and capable hands I can get.

I do well under the pressure of a ticking clock, and I've no doubt everyone will create one now despite my attempt to qualify the future success.

Considered trying my powers on it..but I'm still wary of that route so...science is the better way to go. Eh. Science is sharing is my theory. If someone's got an idea, they can speak up.

It would have taken a lot longer to get here without your feedback at the beginning, so I'd say you've done plenty. I'm still not willing to put you at risk unless we have no other choice, and maybe not even then.

Anytime we get to collaborate on something I'm glad for it. This sort of thing isn't possible without it I think, it's nice to finally feel like maybe we're getting somewhere. I've been sort of struggling with that aspect, I'll admit...used to just being able to swoop in and solve the issue.

About time we had some bloody good news regarding the red portals. Though it comes a little too late for Camille and I.

I'd prefer stopping the red portals altogether, but they've proven resistant to being studied through conventional means.

I think Cisco has things covered with any necessary requisitions, presuming nothing gets held up in red tape. As far as manpower goes, I'm currently planning an open call for steady hands as soon as I know better when I'll need them.
