Some of our Soay ewes decided to have spring a little early. This morning I had to herd a juvenile escape artist back into his field. Jarle was particularly amused by this and has decided to name the lamb; lille Kal. He's quite a stubborn little fellow, but also very daring, so I'll gladly take him as a namesake.

Thank you, those of you who helped me pull together things in time to honor my family. We made it just in time. I don't know what else to say, except it means everything to me.

Mind if I come by medical? Starting to feel awful again. Can't sleep or eat for that matter running low on pain meds.

As you may have noticed with October over we are back to the regular movie schedule of "whatever the hell I feel like playing", but let me know if you have requests for either specific movies or certain genres, or themes, or styles, or whatever else you happen to have a whim for. I very much welcome them.

It's also that time of year when we start to have a lot of big holidays, the next one being Thanksgiving. If you don't know, Thanksgiving is basically a day when your whole family gets together and cooks a massive meal with a lot of traditional dishes that usually have pretty high expectations set for them, most of all the turkey centrepiece which is a huge undertaking to properly cook. It's very stressful, a few people definitely drink too much, there will inevitably be a simmering tension all day because Daniela brought cornbread dressing even though she knows that cornbread dressing is Aunt Grace's thing, and now which cornbread dressing you eat is going to be a political decision weightier than a Presidential election and yeah, maybe Daniela's actually is better, but if you even look at it Aunt Grace is going to hold that grudge until the heat death of the universe and her daughter Ada makes the best boxes of homemade cookies at Christmastime so you're just going to have to suck it up and eat dry cornbread dressing. Then everyone sits around the table and says what they're thankful for and someone's going to use it to be passive-aggressive and Little Paul's going to go into way more detail about his new car than anyone cares about, but apart from that it'll be legitimately emotional and a nice reminder of all the good things in the world.

There's also a messy political history behind Thanksgiving because it was supposedly originally a feast where the pilgrims thanked the Native Americans for helping them out, except then there was a whole lot of genocide and slavery. Occasionally you meet people who actively don't celebrate it. But ultimately it is one of the biggest holidays in the US along with July 4th and Christmas.

Some people will probably want to do their own smaller things, I'm sure, but there will be a group dinner here at the facility and we will not be enforcing rules on who's allowed to cook what. Further details TBA.

Don't really have enough pieces for a proper dia de los muertos alter, but hopefully it's enough. It's incomplete but I guess nothing I can do about that.

Need recommendations or recipes. Have approximately 99.5 apples. Not sure what to do with them all.

Picked up a guitar earlier, I haven't played since high school but I actually didn't hate it. It was pretty nice. I thought there was a real chance I might hate it actually, I never used to play just because, it was always for competition.

Back when I first got here I tried to get a position at this wildlife rescue but they already had plenty of people. But today they emailed me saying two of their volunteers left recently and they want to know if I'm still interested. I'm so excited. My dad ran a rescue out of our barn and it's been weird not having any access to anything like that. And if I'm still here in two years it will look great on my vet school applications.

Hello, everyone. I've been here just short of a week and have been encouraged (thank you, darling) to properly introduce myself on this network.

I believe I met quite a few of you at the pumpkin patch festivities over the weekend, but for those I haven't - I'm Lena Luthor. I come from the same Earth as the Danvers Sisters, J'onn J'onzz, Zari Tarazi, and possibly a few others that I haven't encountered just yet.

If anyone can put me to work, I would very much appreciate it; I do best when I can keep myself busy. I have doctorates in biotechnology management, civil & environmental engineering, and computational science, but I've had my fingers in most sciences and would be happy to help wherever I'm needed.

I have left fruit and cream cheese breakfast pastries in the kitchen for those at the Avengers Facility. I will continue to make baked goods from time to time, but my attentions are now going to be focused elsewhere.

This post is also to notify you all of the opening of a new Bakery in New Asgard. I have been working with Sally to prepare for our grand opening. The Queen and the Sparrow is open now. So, it's come to my attention that there are people who think we are holding something back after the last visit. I get it. It's a lot. There's a lot going on.

I think Sam did a pretty good job summarizing it, but since there are some newcomers here that don't feel they know everything and don't know how to use Google or just ask me or anyone else, here. This is an entire history of the Avengers, what we know about the Power Stones, Thanos, and everything in between. It also explains the Sokovian Accords.

We've done this before. Several times. I've had meetings weeks ago about this, and I just don't have time to keep sitting everyone down and giving the rundown for this place. So it's now up to you. Read the attached files and please make yourself acquainted.

And if anyone wants to take over, by all means. Do it. I'm really, REALLY tired of trying to save people and I'm okay with retiring. You can have it all: the facility, the responsibility, all of it. Hell, you can deal with the president the next time she comes to town. And you can deal with the portals, too.

Anyone else starting to feel like we're in a little over our heads here? I've dealt with weird things but we're kind of on the edge of that now.

Medical's aware of the headaches. We're looking into them. Reports are coming in.

We're requesting residents of the Compound, Little Wakanda and New Asgard come in to schedule scans as we try to figure out what caused these.

I am pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of Loki and Thor, we've been able to finally get a small shop up and running in New Asgard.



We're open most days, but we're short-staffed at the moment (since it's only Donna and I running it) from 6am to 6pm. Please do stop by if you want a cuppa. It's right next to the Asgardian Library!
