Oh, man. I don't know how I missed this when it was first posted, but I sure am glad I stumbled across it now! This hits more of my bulletproof kink and fandom glee buttons than I can count. Wanking. Snape wanking. Teenage Snape wanking. Scrawny, stringy-haired, all sharp points and awkward angles, teenage Snape wanking. His expression, and the fact that he's obviously too caught up in the moment to even realize he's been caught. SO MUCH YES.
All the background details are fabulous -- all the bottles and jars and all manner of odd potion-making things do a great job of setting the stage for the "action." And I absolutely adore the perspective here. Slughorn is spying from the doorway, yes, but it feels like we're spying too, from somewhere deeper within the store room. The angle of the lighting really enhances the effect. It all just feels so deliciously dirrrrrty!
