I am SO SORRY that I never commented on this fic properly. I have absolutely no excuse other than that my life has been absolute shit for the last, oh, seven years, give or take, and I've been in a wholly miserable place. I'm finally, finally ready and able to rejoin the land of the living -- or take a solid stab at it, at any rate -- and try to start making up for some of my abysmal failures of the last few years. So here is my sincere apology along with one of the latest comments in the history of late comments (whether you want either one or not!).

Of course, it's been so long since I first read this that I had to do a reread in order to comment properly. But that was not at all a hardship, I assure you. ;D Now I just have to come up with the words to point out all the things that are fantastic here. I'm super out of practice, so I probably won't be able to do the fic justice, but... I'll give it a shot...

I absolutely love the flipping of the trope -- reluctant top rather than reluctant bottom for once. Yes, yes, I know that was my prompt. But you just did such a damn good job of selling it! Oh, man, did you ever...!

Draco and the reasons for his reluctance are just perfect. I adore that he bottoms purely because having a cock up his arse feels good -- there doesn't need to be any deeper reason than that. And he's resistant to change because he's self-centered and wants to have things his way... and also because there's insecurity involved in the possibility of not being good at something he's never done before. That rings so true to character for Draco.
