If it's not the streets that are weirdly slippery and shiny today, it's the insulting trees. Here I thought Atlantis was gifting us with earmuffs but instead the tree wasn't too happy I took a pair. It reminded me of that scene in Wizard of Oz where Dorothy picks an apple. Sorry, tree.

I guess I can cross being a late night snack for some tall, pale and fangy off my bucket list.

We have a few new, season treats down at Coffee Me Better for this week only! Leading up to Valentine's Day, we'll have a few cupcakes, cookies, and truffles along with the usual Red Hot coffees and lattes for you to pick up. They're a perfect gift to your special someone or a special friend that means a lot to you. They're tasty enough to gift to friends of all kinds! Or snag a few for yourself. I certainly have taste-tested a few.

Edit. Someone please take care of my dog and ladybug while I'm out there. The dog needs at least some power walking and food, the bug needs food. The plant is fine though (probably) since it retains water.
Edit 2. It's settled, between my housemates and friends they will be fine, thank you all.

Good news, friends in Atlantis! Everything is worked out and I'm going to stay around. After all, someone might need to rain down Hellfire or look after Ambrose. Maybe both. ... so, Cousin. I'm moving in with you, Dylan Dog and Anne of Austria. Are we actually living with a Queen? Wow And of course, Salem.

I'm also working at the coffee shop part time and going to school. Basically, this is my big plea for all the friends.

I have to admit that I've always enjoyed the snow. The stillness of it all, and how sound can be completely absorbed by it. Even blizzards are nice simply for the cover it provides. But there's also the whole aspect of being safe inside, cuddled under a blanket with something warm to drink. I don't think I ever really appreciated the latter back home. Snow was always more practical for me than anything else.

So, I guess I won't be practising for the Christmas party?

I always wondered what this time looked like.

I know that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving, but one of my favorite parts about the holidays is just being with friends and family. So... let's go for it. Let's have a mix of traditional and non-traditional Thanksgiving on Thursday for anyone interested. We can have it at the shop or I can check with my roommates to see if either of them mind us doing something there. You're both more than welcome to join!

And don't worry. There won't be any crazy food or drinks making us do weird things!

Now that we've made it past Halloween, this snowstorm is only making me want to get the Christmas decorations out early. I love fall and Thanksgiving, but come on, Atlantis.

I'm at least starting up the holiday drinks at work this week. Come get your peppermint mochas with quiet Christmas music playing all over the store.

I sort of expected the Lost City of Atlantis to be a bit more...y'know. Lost. With a lot more pillars.

I'm MJ and I have no idea why I was brought here to fight a war. I don't fight. It's sort of against my moral code and wars usually include innocent people dying because they're on the wrong side by the sin of where they were born. So, point me in the direction of the library.

To those I have met in another world, and to those I have yet to meet: warmest greetings. My name is Solaire of Astora, not Sam Waddington, although I do quite like the name Sam, so if you're more comfortable calling me that I won't complain. I am a knight of the Warriors of Sunlight, which means that I'm likely more versed in travelling between alternate worlds than some of you. It's disorienting, isn't it? Walking among a timeline or a possibility that is not your own is both humbling and, at times, sobering. But I was fortunate to have met so many wonderful people in other worlds, and I trust that this time will be no different. So if we were friendly in the beautiful land of Colorado, I hope that we will continue to be so here.



One unexpected side effect of seeing a new world? I now know what pumpkin spice tastes like, and I crave all of it. If you would excuse me, I have a barista to bat my eyelashes at.
