As grateful as I am that Anne put a plan in place should this happen, I'd really counted on never having to face a toddler's sad "mama?" eyes. The house feels more than half empty now. For such a soft-spoken woman, she leaves one hell of a mark.

We tracked one of the creatures down along the beach and trapped it. Despite our efforts to keep it alive and get some answers, it died. I don't see that as much of a loss but We burned the corpse.

Eliot celebrated our partial success by taking a surprise nap so we need to get him somewhere safe now. As soon as that's done, I will be taking a nap of my own getting a few minor wounds cleaned up and checking on Leonardo, but I will be available to help any other teams soon enough.

As soon as I can get someone here to watch over Leonardo, I am heading to where he was attacked, outside the Louvre. I want to see if these things leave the kind of trail that only an Assassin's eye can see. Can you two meet me there?

Leonardo and a few others have been attacked by some kind of vampires. I am tasked with helping track down the creatures that did it, but Leonardo needs a little assistance and protection in my absence. Mostly protection. If one of you with fighting skills can help, just until these villains are caught, I would be eternally grateful. He will likely stay in the hospital overnight, but I would still feel better if someone with a weapon was nearby.

Seeing as Solaire decided to sneak off into the night on us (word is he's on a mission, but I don't have any details), Fenris and I have talked it over and we're postponing the wedding to the 24th. Hopefully we can get that arranged without too much trouble. I don't know how these things work. We might have to sell Grace and keep our secondborn. BUT ideally, I won't have to stab anyone. Or threaten to stab anyone. Or annoy them until they cave. Actually that last one is probably more likely.

I sincerely apologize if I made anyone uncomfortable with the hugs yesterday. I prefer to be more considerate about people's personal space. If you're anywhere near the training areas and would like a sorry for the bear hug bear claw, I've got a few dozen here. I didn't make them, but they're delicious. Donuts are next on my list of things to learn so if you prefer some other kind, throw a suggestion my way, yeah?
