I am definitely not looking a gift latte in the mouth, but for those of you who are more in tune with Singles Awareness Day than Valentines Day, Trocution will be hosting a party this Friday night. Think of it as a singles night with lots of extra flair and a touch of cynicism. I for one plan to attend the Valentine Ball Thursday night, too, so there's no rule saying you can't enjoy both!

I don't really believe in fairy tales, but I guess if you spend enough time in Atlantis, you learn to believe in just about anything.

All the people with wishes coming true might just be proof those magic beans really do work.

And they say wishes don't grow on trees. Do they say that? Who knows. Apparently, they've never visited Atlantis.

I have two reminders for you:

#1, Sunday nights are tango night at Trocution. If you don't know how to tango, I do offer dance lessons. Just reach out to set something up if you'd like to learn.

#2, El Burke and I have been working together to plan a fucking fantastic masquerade ball for New Years Eve. I can promise a night to remember, so I hope I'll see you all there.

I've gotta give this place credit, I haven't come as close to applying to stay as I did last night. Someone should've warned me shower sex was so dangerous, I would've tried it much sooner.

Addy and I came up with a bucket list of things we'd like to do before we go back, and if anyone would like to help, this is my part of the list and I accept all offers of help or friends to join me:

Body shots and/or body paint.

The Macarena

Learn how to knit.

Learn pottery

Making homemade slime.

Makeup. Teach me how to makeup, please - specifically eyeliner.

I also need company for a mani/pedi.

Learn how to salsa or tango.

Legos. Legoes? I need lego building buddies.

This is your regular friendly reminder that Sunday Nights are tango night at Trocution. Whether you're a beginner or an expect, come out tomorrow for a great night at dancing.

This Monday night, we'll be hosting a singles night. The holidays are an easy time to feel lonely when you don't have someone, so this seemed like a good time for an encore.

I probably should have known better than to take any kind of cooking class. Indian pudding is delicious, but baking is really not my forte. Thank goodness for take out!

Now that we've made it past Halloween, this snowstorm is only making me want to get the Christmas decorations out early. I love fall and Thanksgiving, but come on, Atlantis.

I'm at least starting up the holiday drinks at work this week. Come get your peppermint mochas with quiet Christmas music playing all over the store.

A grand party filled with friends and fun was the perfect way to end my first month here in Atlantis. If I missed anyone in my quest with Reinhardt to ask everyone about their costumes, please tell me about it here. I enjoy learning about whatever inspired you to dress as someone else.

Aye, I can think of nothing unwelcome occurring over the course of the evening, which was a welcome diversion from friends losing their gifts or being turned into rodents. Can we do this every month?

This year's film festival looks really interesting. I think it will be a good distraction from how crazy everything has been lately.

I know this has been a weird month, but the fireplace at Starbucks seems kind of odd today. Or it’s making me feel off or something.

It's all hogs ... and dogs? Everywhere I go people are eating bacon and their dogs are gazing at them with adoring eyes. (Newsflash, it isn't because your dog thinks you're swell.) And here I am, afraid to order a latte because a) it will include bacon or b) it will be laced with dog hair.

I had hoped that hogs meant motorcycles. BUt I see that once again, I aimed far too high for poor Breckentale.

I can't decide if the Willy Wonka themed wedding I just got a call about is the weirdest or the coolest thing I've ever heard. Probably the coolest, because I've actually gotten weirder requests.
