One advantage to being pregnant at Halloween is that there are all sorts of costumes out there that work with a large belly. I decided to keep things simple though and bought this. A little nod to my past life. I could have just gone with a pumpkin suit but I can't see me dressed as an entire pumpkin.

I am so glad that the fighting is over and not just because I got to come home. I'm not used to not being in the middle of things but I know it was the best thing for me and the baby. Who is getting bigger every day and loves to dance on my bladder. Which is way too much information and I apologize.

Then there is the house, I never had a real home until I came here, I always drifted from place to place depending on what work I was doing so having a place to call home is wonderful. It's not just the house though, it's the fact that my home is my family which is another thing I never thought I'd have. Cassian, our children, it all feels like a miracle and I am very grateful for it.

I don't think I can even put into words what it means to know that the world I come from isn't going to happen.

It still hasn't completely sunk in yet, and I suppose it will take some time, but there is a hope now that I'm not sure I've ever truly felt.

Thank you to everyone who put their lives on the lines, and those who gave theirs for the future here and in all our worlds.

Mom, I have a question. Obviously you love dad and you live happily for many years where I'm from. But you still have to fear what if one of you gets pulled back home, where the other can't follow, right? Especially him, what if dad gets pulled away and you stay here. How do you keep it from clouding over your moments together?

Or...what if she wants to go home when this is over, mom? Because I don't know if love is enough, there's duty. She has a very important duty back home. But we do love each other, we said so recently. And it's been wonderful. But what if?

I don't wear hats. They're fine for other people, just not for me. Atlantis disagrees with me. I've just spent the last hour walking into shops and trying on hats. Apparently this is going to be a thing today.

Thanks Atlantis. Saved me from going shopping and expandable too! It will get a lot of wear, I promise.

I guess Atlantis is giving out new outfits to day. Brilliant taste, too.

Flavian and I used to go camping quite often, until but it's been years since I had the opportunity. It was a bit too cold at Christmastime. The tent is a rather nice reminder, and it's certainly warmer now. Perhaps an adventure is in order?

It's strange, how you can know you have a child (or more than one), have seen her grown up and as an amazing woman , and yet being pregnant just feels like this vague hypothetical situation... until your body starts to change and the baby starts to move. I suppose it's no surprise that she likes to move a lot, but it is one of the strangest feelings I've ever known.

Which is to say, knowing your future is very strange.

Thank you Atlantis for showing me what my first craving is going to be. Never let a pregnant woman near a cheese festival.

I've been debating asking this since I got here, but I probably should just go for it and find out. Because. I know I'm not in Kansas anymore. Well, Queens, but you get the point. You know that feeling you get when people seem to be aware of everything and you're out of the loop?

Marceline's gone home. Not of her own will. I feel a little lost, and I have work to do so have a little patience with me for a little while, okay? I won't be around much. It's not personal. Think of it as emergency resource management, but the resource is my mind.

I've been enjoying listening to some of the things people have been saying today even if I don't have the slightest idea what half of it means. Actually, it's more than half.

I did go to the craft class today and learned how to make cards. I don't know if I'll ever actually make and send any but it was fun.

Change is inevitable in life. Some would even argue that it is a good thing. I wish everyone well in adjusting to the new assignments, particularly those who served under me before this.
