I can only assume this is an Atlantis thing, but I woke up this morning with an urge to infuse vodka. I've got about half a dozen bottles now with a variety of fruits, so I think we might just have to have some kind of party in a few days, because I definitely can't drink all of this vodka without some help.

Somehow, I also suspect I'm not the only one doing this.

I went back to the house to freshen up this morning and I was thinking about the time my family and I spent in Tuscany and how much I missed our home there when it just suddenly appeared at the edge of the housing area. When I went to explore, my old room had my Atlantis things in it! The dogs, too!

Here on Mako, I've gotten a good kitchen set up for us and I've made a whole lot of pasta for anyone who'd like to come round for the evening meal. Man, this day sucks. I feel invisible, like nobody even knows I'm here. All day at work, I've been sitting in this little room but no one pays attention to me. Not that big a surprise really, it's always like that.

I've always wondered what it would be like to be under veritaserum, assuming that's what's happening here, and now I can safely and honestly say that I'm not a fan.

Thankfully I've managed to not put myself into any situation where I might embarrass myself. I apologise if I've been scarce. My hope is that this will not last very much longer.

Out of curiosity, does anybody have like...advanced broom lessons? It's one thing learning in practice, but it's still another entirely to do matches when you're still nowhere near an expert. Definitely not as much like motorbikes as I thought it'd be.

Okay, I’ve been thinking. I’ve been here nearly a year (how the hell has it been that long already?) and I’ve seen a lot of shit that shouldn’t be possible. Turning into animals, randomly aging a handful of decades, turning into a man, essentially being kidnapped out of my bed for simulations I still don’t understand, living an entirely different life -- and as interesting as some of it has been, do we really know if it’s safe? Has anyone done any studies about that? We assume - or we’re told - that some of it is just Atlantis and it’s no big deal and it’ll go back to normal, but how do we know that for sure? Has anyone else ever wanted to look into what effects it all might have on us? And are there any limitations on who goes through it? Age limits? Do pregnant women ever get picked, and does that have impacts at all? (That isn’t any sort of hint, before anyone asks.) How does this change development on a cellular level? Do we know if it really is harmless, or is that something we’re all just trusting? Who or what really is behind it? I don’t trust easily. We shouldn’t trust easily.

I’m sure I won’t actually get answers that satisfy my questions. I mostly just wanted to know if other people have the same ones.

I'm looking forward to the stars event tonight. I hope it clears up, but even if it doesn't it should be interesting.
