I'm not going back to England. I don't have any particular bloody good reason to go back to England. Bother England. I've had enough.

England is a long road to get what I already have here: family, friends, and loved ones. So you're sadly mistaken if you think I'm going to let you be! We're in it for the long haul, so long as you'd like to stay here in Atlantis.

I'm not a fan of compulsion of any kind, but I have noticed the cases I try run much more smoothly when all parties are entirely truthful.

I never thought I'd say "I'm going to attend a university in Atlantis" but here we are.

I've been staring at this course catalog for days, trying to figure out how many classes I can take in one semester. Trying to figure out WHAT I should take. How does anyone ever decide on a path when they don't even know how long they'll be here and the information they learn is probably useless back home because they won't even remember? (That is how it works, right? Because otherwise we'd completely alter the fabric of reality.) (More than we already have?) (This stuff gives me a headache.) Do you just pick something that'll be useful here? How useful is French here, anyway? I can probably test into higher levels of classes if I'm already fluent in a language or three, right?

I know that we are all very loose when it comes to the definition of reality (and in Atlantis, reality is an extremely flexible subject) but for some reason Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark hits close to home.

(Though, Lucy? You're far more Marian than I am. To be quite honest, I more directly identify with the bloody French archaeologist. Should I admit that to you all? I'm not quite sure. You've read books and you've seen movies. My best adjectives are "problematic yet effective".

Is there a way to take magic out of somebody completely? Atlantis has dulled people's magic before, right? I just don't think I was meant to have it and I'm honestly happy just as I am. I'm never going to be a prodigy or anything like that, so...yeah.
It's not like I haven't been practicing, but it doesn't really help much and I feel like there's a threshold you cross with magic if you don't tame it before a certain age. Free coffee for life if you can figure it out, swear down.

Since I received a camera today (and I have documented everything, just so you know), I think it would be really quite amazing to get an "Atlantis Class Picture". I want to see if we can all get together for a photo. What do you say? Tonight, let's meet outside of the base where the lights are still good and see what we can do.

One of the things I've always appreciated about life are those simply preposterous little details that allow us the pleasure of knowing we're knit as a greater part of a society or a culture. There were so many of them that I loved about Narnia; however, being a part of some of them also means I know I'm selfish. Aslan wanted me to love the world I was in ...

I meant to tell you this on 1 May but it felt stupid at the time. For some reason, I feel inclined to tell you about it. I love May Day. The Spring bonfires and rituals (Easter notwithstanding) that spur the celebration of renewal and life are some of my favourites. When Aslan came back, one of the best things that happened was a romp we all went on and he ... he brought everything to life.

I'd always been looking for that at home. One of the things I wanted to do (when I got to school) was jump off the bridge in Oxford on May Day with all the other students. It's a bit awkward because the river's depth is about 2' at the time. Awkward? More like dangerous. But honestly there are a few better traditions and maybe some that we can bring here that don't include broken legs.

The Irish (or maybe the Scottish?) would leave small bouquets of Lily of the Valley for one another. But honestly, I can't stand to cut the flowers. So, I've got a pot of them and they're being delivered to your door in the morning. And I want them to come with this knowledge: I love you.

I suppose Atlantis thought it had been long enough since it chose my clothing for me. The kilt was.. interesting, but I am glad to be back to my trousers today.

I wanted to tell you how excited I am to be an auntie. You're going to be the most wonderful parents and I'm ready to tell my niece or nephew all sorts of stories about you and the lands they will join together. Our little prince or princess will truly be special.

All right, you lot. We've made it through March and attention must be paid. I'm making dinner tomorrow night and I hope you'll come eat all the food I'm going to serve. Dress up a bit as I plan on making it an impromptu dinner party.

SUSAN PEVENSIE:

Sooo, funny story. I was at home, one of my professors is letting us do the online class thing so no one's out and about unnecessarily and all that, and afterwards I got up to make lunch. Sat down on the couch, and I must have dozed off, which isn't strange on its own. But then I woke up in your closet. Not on the floor, but on top of one of the shelves.

I'm not complaining - please don't think I am! - but I would quite love to know when the cold weather is going to end?

I know it isn't a lot for you, being able to fly and all, but I want to go to the carnival and ride all of the highest rides we can find. I also want to eat candyfloss and act like I'm not basically grown up. This all sounds very willful and winsome, I know. But I thought you would not mind to indulge me in the behaviour.

[PEVENSIES]

This is your elder, mildly smothering sister checking in with all of you. I would like to make sure that you are all doing well, eating your vegetables and not nursing wounds that no one can see because you are ever so valiant about suffering in silence.

It seems silly to remark on some of Atlantis' oddities, since they occur every day and we are subject to their whims. One rolls with the punches and accepts that sometimes your comrades are pumpkins, bears, wrapped in packing supplies instead of clothes or any number of things.

But suffice it to say, when I left my rooms this morning, I was not prepared for the sidewalks. They crunched and scattered under my feet. That is, until someone pushed me off the path because I was getting ready to step on the "absolutely and incontrovertibly most perfect corn chip they'd ever seen". Fair.

And fair that I am not necessarily acquainted with the corn chip so I acquiesced to the rather passionate request. Students near the university (one of my favourite side-lanes to take for its picturesque views and wide trees) were particularly excited because this lane was covered in a type of corn chip called the Frito. I admit I tried one -- and it was good! Though the smell? Rank. Rank as I'd ever smelled even from some of the more congested parts of London with their grease and their pubs and their trash bins

(Perhaps this is hyperbole, but you shall have to forgive me. I've had an adventure today.)
