I don't think I can even put into words what it means to know that the world I come from isn't going to happen.

It still hasn't completely sunk in yet, and I suppose it will take some time, but there is a hope now that I'm not sure I've ever truly felt.

Thank you to everyone who put their lives on the lines, and those who gave theirs for the future here and in all our worlds.

It's been a busy few weeks lately with one thing or another, and when I get busy or stressed I start craving some of the foods my Mama used to cook. Or maybe it was because I thought I was 16 for a day and thought I'd be going home for supper.

Trish Burkle made some of the best brisket you've ever tasted. You can argue yours is better but, sorry to say, you'll be wrong. It's no secret oft love for all foods Mexican, so tonight I'm going to combine the two. Mama's brisket tacos.

Tacos aren't just for Tuesdays.

My scarecrow has been standing a full week now. I think that's an accomplishment. He's not very effective at shooing away birds, though.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who came and donated blood during the blood drive. It is a great help when we have agents come back injured from missions or just after every day accidents. Your help is appreciated. If you missed the blood drive, you can still make an appointment and come in to donate. We're always in need.

I know Buffy told me we haven't been kidnapped by aliens or anything, but is everyone SURE that we haven't been kidnapped and drugged by someone? Cause there are flying horses out there, y'all.

I had no idea there was much that could be done with root beer.

Root Beer Funnel Cakes, Root Beer Float Shooters, Root Beer Brownies, Cupcakes, Cookies, and root beer pulled pork nachos. It's endless.

The nachos are surprisingly good, it sounds weird, really weird, but amazing.

All of this Disney stuff happening this month makes me reaaaaaally want to have a movie marathon. (Or several!) Does anyone else want to join me?

I can't say I've ever made a lot of t-shirts before, but I had a lot of fun today.

PLOT: ♆ - ONE CHARACTER REACH finds themselves waking up at 5am this morning and heading to a small room heading on the East side of Atlantis. When you arrive you can't help but make t-shirts for all of your friends.

Like those from before, the people we saw die are here in Medical. There are still no signs of physical injuries, despite what we saw on the screen, and they all arrived with the same puzzle pieces. We're only keeping them a few hours, but everyone will need to be seen by Psych.

I am so sorry to anyone who had to deal with me being messy yesterday I have no idea what got into me. I don't usually avoid doing dishes or cleaning things like that.

PLOT: Yesterday - ♆ - ONE CHARACTER EACH refuses to clean any dishes, clean up any messes, they just refuse to do anything that might be considered housework - even if they're the ones that made the mess.

This year has been a rough one so far, between losses and the fact that we are fighting a war being driven in too close to home, but I think that just makes it more important to hold on to the people you love for as long as you have and never take them for granted. No one is ever promised tomorrow in any life or time. Even the so-called immortal have ways of being killed. That threat of loss is always there, no matter how much we try to forget or deny it. That's why we have to make the most of the time we have.

It's a hard lesson to learn, but it seems Atlantis is as determined to teach it as my own world was.
