Yo, I got accepted as a floating agent (I'm keeping my job at the shelter). Who wants to line up to yell at me first?

Guten tag, my friends. Please call me Angela, though I will answer to Dr. Ziegler if you are more the formal type. Honestly, I will respond to a fair number of things, so long as they're polite! I arrived today and have already situated myself in the medical wing. The scientific approach to things here is greatly appreciated and I already feel it is quite the step up from my labs in the basement at our old base in Gibraltar.

I'll be reviewing medical files as quickly as I can, but if you have any pressing medical needs or someone to talk to, my door is open immediately. If you have not had a medical review or checkup in at least six months, please also see about scheduling one. If you're not certain as to how, please let me know and I can schedule it on your behalf. I welcome new challenges, and look forward to working with Dr. McCoy and the rest of the medical staff. Thank you for having me and I promise I will put in the work to fit in here as nicely as I am able.

A MISSION!

Report to base for briefing, bring your gear and hug your loved ones. I do not know how long we will be gone, but consider it wise to expect at least a week from past mission knowledge. Details will be provided upon arrival and I have doughnuts.

My team has been selected for a mission, likely some of you have gotten the call as well. For those I'll soon see at the base for briefing, good luck with your part of the mission! For those remaining behind, you have my adoration and we will see you again soon! With luck, we will hopefully have more opportunities to make them pay for abducting our allies.

I'm looking for volunteers for research regarding the testing of and implementation of a restorative serum from my world that will affect my powers. My job is to try to utilize my powers (pain, and removal of) on you while under various doses of said serum. Your job is to give me a quantifiable number describing the sensation and/or lack thereof.

Before we get started, I'll need to run a few tests to get an idea of your pain tolerance and sensitivity. At no point will I produce any amount of pain in you more intense than a persistent headache (around 3-4 on the pain scale out of 10), and the pain will dissipate as soon as you quantify it. Likewise, all numbness I produce in you will be temporary. I understand that this will be uncomfortable, but it's for a good cause, and all you people are heroes and should eat up good deeds like catnip.

No one under the age of 21. No one with active reoccurring pain such as a badly-healed injury or arthritis. I won't pay you, but I might spring for doughnuts. Please leave me a comment here with questions or to volunteer. I have one open spot (Leonardo da Vinci, Penny Adiyodi, Evie Frye).

There's no substitute for restful sleep, but since that's off the fucking menu, may I suggest that I use my powers to dampen your pain receptors while you're on shift? We're too strapped to get by on Red Bull and hope. My abilities won't assist with improving cognitive functions, but it'll take the edge off of stress-related aches and pains and keep you less distracted by the physical consequences of exhaustion.

Let me know. I have no intention of removing anyone's pain that doesn't want it.

Hello! I can't stop worr Over a decade ago, I nearly died due to a corruption - we call it the Taint, it's a terrible word, so I apologize if I use it here. In our world, the only way to save someone from the corruption is to hope they survive a Grey Warden ritual - I went through it, and survived and became a Grey Warden. It's a lifelong debt, rather boring to hear about so I'll spare you, but it involved me (bleh) ingesting more of the actual corruption and a drop of archdemon blood so my body becomes "immune" to the Taint.

I say "immune", because it is actually more like a "cross your fingers and hope for the best" and prolongs, rather than heals entirely. Depending on the circumstances, we're given an extra twenty or so years to serve as a Grey Warden for all of Thedas, and I'm over halfway through that. It has a whole host of side-effects, including infertility.

For the record, I feel perfectly fine here. I wasn't actually going to inquire about figuring out any sort of cure, because I assumed we'd all go home after winning the war and there was no point to it. But now that I've met my son, and I know I have a future here--

Well, I would like to see if there's anything to be done, at some point.

I know Thedas magic does little for it, I can't just heal away any traces of the corruption in a simple zap, and we have only ever heard of one person that's managed a cure in our world and they refuse to share that information.


So, if you have any thoughts or would like to help, I would appreciate anything any of you might have to offer on the subject at hand.

hey so sorry if I've been a dick the last week. I keep putting off talking about this because of Christmas, but apparently you can wake up with a bunch of added memories? A year+ worth, even. 0/10 do not recommend.

I'm still going to keep learning how to punch and stab things, but I can shoot things a little better now.

As we've discussed when I first arrived, my powers overload, fry everything in the vicinity, and kill me. It's a real Christmas downer. While I anticipate everything returning to normal upon my resuscitation, please mark my time of death and keep an accurate count of how long your pain returns. I need that data for my research. Your pain will stabilize upon my awakening.

In the interest of not killing everyone around me, Thor has agreed to assist me with mitigating the damage of the explosion.
