Someone had said the phrase "Never Tickle Sleeping Dragon" soon after my arrival, and while with some dragons I would certainly agree, right now you could tickle Temeraire to your heart's content and he won't budge. He's going to enjoy a lie in now that we've returned from the mission, please do ignore his snoring.

To all of our comrades on this one, be aware that he most likely considers you "crew" now. Don't be alarmed if you start receiving shiny gifts.

A MISSION!

Report to base for briefing, bring your gear and hug your loved ones. I do not know how long we will be gone, but consider it wise to expect at least a week from past mission knowledge. Details will be provided upon arrival and I have doughnuts.

My team has been selected for a mission, likely some of you have gotten the call as well. For those I'll soon see at the base for briefing, good luck with your part of the mission! For those remaining behind, you have my adoration and we will see you again soon! With luck, we will hopefully have more opportunities to make them pay for abducting our allies.

To the attention of Medical and Magical departments: We had a bit of a problem at the vegetable market this morning. A young fellow asked me if I were Chinese or Japanese and then promptly had his lips sewn shut by an unseen force. I am accompanying him to medical now; he is quite distressed.

Hello everyone!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm James Potter, husband to Lily and father to Harry. I played Quidditch for years at Hogwarts and was captain and such. So I'm really, REALLY excited about playing here and working with all of you.

TO START: Introduce yourself and tell me why you signed up and what you know about Quidditch!

WHAT WE NEED: A team name and team colors. Bring on your suggestions!

SCHEDULE: Let me know when is best to be scheduling some practices. I want to get drills together so we can work on everything, figure out everyone's strengths then make them stronger. Also, anything you want to work on and such too.

TO FINISH: Do you have any questions for me?

Hey Sports Fans (and primarily Quidditch fans)! You've seen the signup sheets for the last month or so, and many, many of you have signed up. Those of us working on it (Katie, Benjy, take a bow) are pleased to see such an overwhelming response.

We've gone through all the signups and created a league of 8 teams. You can find the team rosters HERE. Check in with your team captains to introduce yourselves if you don't already know each other. Those captains will be responsible for scheduling practices on the pitch. We'll sort out a start date once all our pals are back from that mission they're all on, but practice can start whenever you're ready.

All right, Captains! You're responsible, as noted above, for getting your teams to practice and keeping them happy. Think of it like a School Simulation, you have to keep them motivated and operating towards a common goal. Don't bring your problems to me if you can't get them to behave. Swap them out with an reserve if they're not a team player.

You also get the FUN job, though. Come up with a team name. And team colors. And a mascot. Fun is best, but dumb will make me frown. Please don't make me frown.

Is this- Ah, yes, there we have it! Hello, Network. This is Temeraire. I am gracing your presence from Laurence's device, I still do not have my own. Marceline helped me adjust to this voice-to-text, and I am most thankful.



But to the important reason why I am using Laurence's network access: I am afraid he has run off. It is far too cold for him to be stripping his shirt off - and this is suspicious behavior for him, I might add - and running into the woods while only communicating with grunts. I plan to follow him, but I am.. well, not inconspicuous. Any help would be most appreciated, I wish to ensure he stays out of trouble.

Does anyone else here celebrate the lunar new year? I enjoyed having a very English Christmas, and I would also enjoy having a very Chinese New Year. Since most of us are far from our homes and families, it seemed proper to reach out to the community at large.

Previously, if I celebrated at all, it was under the auspices of someone else's home, but I thought I might enjoy attempting the dumplings myself this year. Should any of the rest of you have interest in ringing in the Year of the Pig in Chinese style, let me know, and I will plan accordingly.

For your awareness, I will be conscripting you into helping me cook. If we start practicing folding dumplings now, we ought to be able to make pretty ones by February. Including some larger-sized examples for Temeraire, of course.

Farewells are never easy, even when one is well-used to them. I’m forever grateful that Atlantis gave Bethany and I a chance to meet Declan. The future is a funny thing, isn’t it? Something - someone - that a month ago I did not know has become so important to me in such immediacy that I am twice as excited to meet the coming year.

I’m sorry to see him go, but goodbyes go easier with plunging into freezing abysses - which is why I encourage all of you who are feeling bittersweet by the departures of your family and friends to join me in the Polar Bear Plunge! Diving into ice-cold water seems to be a great way of taking your mind off of things, and what a pleasant way to wake up and face the New Year! And now that I know what polar bears are, the title makes a great deal more sense.

Two birthdays and then a giant bath. I am truly enjoying Atlantis. You are forgiven for the Mole Event!

It can be a little difficult to make peace with some things that happen here. At home, there was an artifact that could control people and I used it - briefly - in order to confiscate it from men who would have abused its power a hundred thousand times over. It makes me especially anxious when Atlantis decides to steal people's will, but also regretful for when I chose to do the same to others. The greater good excuse feels hollow in retrospect.

Nothing can change what is done, but I hope to keep putting some good back into the universe to balance the scales. It is a small thing, but I offered to foster injured birds for the animal shelter, hoping my experience with messenger birds could come in handy there. I did not expect they would allow me to care for this extraordinary creature.

( She will need a few months of care, Leonardo, so please don't make escape plans just yet. )

This is quite an interesting place.

I'm Charlie Weasley, Dragon Keeper. I'm curious to know if there are any more dragons apart from the one I brought with me.

Also, to my roommates, my dragon won't be staying with me (because that would be stupid and incredibly dangerous), just my dog Dratch and he's harmless.

Hello. I'm Allison Argent, and I've... done the new girl speech a lot. I arrived here a few days ago from Beacon Hills, California, where I was a junior in high school. I was waiting for things to settle down before introducing myself, but it's beginning to look like every day is a new adventure here, and bears are better than pheromones, so. Hello.

I'm going to be a field agent here. My focus is on archery, but I'd like to learn more across the board, particularly in self-defense. My form was apparently sloppy enough to get me killed an I'd appreciate anyone who wants to train with me. I'm human - no powers or abilities - but I'm very willing to put in the time and effort to learn new techniques.
