Hello, everyone. I'm stepping in for Mordecai while he recovers. We've all been through quite a lot, and I know we're dealing with a variety of injuries and grief from the past few weeks. Like Commander Anderson said, please take the time you need to heal. I'm trusting that you know your limits, but I also know how difficult it is to sit still, particularly in a time of grief and emotional turmoil. When we're ready, we'll talk about how we can help Atlantis - we all have abilities that will be extremely useful in the coming weeks. But take care of yourselves and your loved ones first.

Well, this place is quite charming. My name is Minerva McGonagall. I'll do my best to learn this device that it seems so many of you are skilled at.

It seems I know many of you here already and see some familiar names. I'll keep this brief as I am learning this technology, but perhaps I should open my room as an office for any who wish to discuss more.

For those of you that have already fought in a war, how do you do it? How do you go from one to another? I thought about it a lot since I've arrived. I know the work I'm doing here is important. I just thought after what happened, I'd be done with war. I still have nightmares from time to time about that night and I wonder if I'm strong enough to go through something like that again.

I've gotten lucky in that those in charge placed me in a house with someone I already knew prior to my arrival here, and that we've had empty space in this house quite often (I'm about to ruin this good thing, aren't I?), but I keep on thinking about how no one ought to decide for me what makes a family and what doesn't, and that no one ought to have forced me into a vulnerable situation with people I don't know. Or them, for that matter.

But that's life, I suppose.

JULIA & SIRIUS:

I suppose, what I'm really trying to say, is that I don't know how we fit into this government's definition of what counts as family. We wouldn't have been able to get married in Muggle England, not all of us - not even two men could have, in our time - but that doesn't mean we're something less than. Does that make sense? I feel I should have been prepared for the world to continue to decide for me who I am and what I am, but instead I am simply tired and I wish to decide that for myself.

It would’ve been nice if my wand had shrunk alongside me today. Suppose I’ve got to see this as a chance to work more on my wandless magic.

My wardrobe has recovered from the disaster earlier in the week, I'm happy to say. I was never much of a hunter, and tweeds inspire memories of people I've no desire to see in Atlantis.

My team and Marceline’s team managed to trap two of the Strigoi and successfully turned them. We sustained a few injuries in the struggle - we’re going to head to the base now, starting with the Moroi and our most injured.
