Save Atlantis RPG

After a lot of thought, I've made the decision to go back home. It's not always been easy, actually there have been moments my time here has been incredibly hard and painful, but I'm glad that I was pulled here randomly almost a year ago now. I didn't get to know as many of you as I would have liked, but to those that I did, I hope some part of our time together sticks with me once I go back. There's still a lot I want to do and work towards at home, and I know it's time for me to get back to doing it. I'm planning to leave after Halloween because I'm betting this place puts on an awesome Halloween bash, and I need to see that.

I hope you both understand why I need to go. I know it sounds weird since you'll both be there in New York and who knows if I'll remember any of this, but I'll miss you.

As much as I'm glad to have normal water back today, I definitely didn't mind yesterday's bubbly. It made for an interesting work day.

So that's what you all meant by an Atlantis party. I didn't take it seriously before, but I get it now. That was a hell of a thing. I apologize to anyone that I kissed, hugged, danced with, or otherwise made uncomfortable.

I think I'm still recovering from the embarrassment.

ARENA FOLKS:

Just as a reminder - I'm still running the support groups, three times a week, and I don't plan on that stopping any time soon. I know opening up in front of a group of people can be intimidating, but it's perfectly all right if you come to listen for a bit, too. No pressure. But I will say that, from my experience with other veterans, that talking to someone who's been through similar things really can be helpful.

There are actual pigs in blankets walking around today. Is it weird that seeing them simultaneously made me hungry and gave me the idea to smuggle one home because they're kinda cute?

What's the goddamn point of I didn't think we needed another lesson in the fragility of life and in how quickly everything can change. From what I know of a lot of the places we're all from, we already knew that.

Ezio and Leonardo were our first friends here - we were all friends in that alternate reality or whatever the hell that was before the two of us actually woke up in Atlantis.
