This is great! I love Snape/older man pairings, and so I choose to believe that there's no real "accident" here, esp. on Snape's part. Both faces are fabulously expressive.
The perspective is excellent: you've made us viewers complicit with Slughorn, placing us in the same position, just on the opposite side. We're all peeping together around cabinets and through doors, in our darker spaces outside Snape's bright one. We're clearly intruders, but his well-lit space does seem rather like a stage. Love the details, like the partially-seen lacewing flies. And what is that Snape has in his hand? The torn Lily letter? Or a billet-doux from Sluggy or someone else?
