First of all, can I say that it never occurred to me that Alastor and Xenophilius would be friends, but I can TOTALLY SEE IT. Like, I think Moody would think that Xenphoilius' belief in snorkacks is totally insane, and Xenophilius would think that Moody's conspiracy theories about the Ministry were totally boring, but they'd both agree on some INSANE TRUTHER THING.
I love Luna's fascination with Moody's eye, and how her faith in him and his strength, even though he'd dead, is what helps her when she's imprisoned at the Malfoy's. Then there's that little bit of something-something at the end that is a comfort and a sweet ending to an unrequited love.
