Oh goodness. Snape is not usually my thing, but this is so beautifully drawn that it sucked me in immediately. You've created a Snape that I can believe in, with such perfect backstory and reasoning that it all just flows. The flaws and flinches in Draco are beautiful, and the point that Snape reaches himself is just... gah. I'm staring at the line just above: Severus buttoned his own robes, adjusting his armour as best he could. That is the sentiment that makes this so wonderful. Love it.
