I imagine opportunistic sex between wizards is very much like this, particularly when you add the stresses of war. The cage kink was a fun and slightly different one to explore. I was particularly intrigued that Kingsley would be the one who chose to wear it and that he tries not to think too much about why he does so, which was a nice touch for such an otherwise bold character.
Severus's matter-of-factness regarding the cage and sex in general, either giving or receiving was plausible given this scenario and I loved Aberforth's elder wizard whose seen it all and probably done most of it at least twice representation here. He is gruff, rough-edged, but also surprisingly considerate and kindly and helpful to their morale in ways they probably don't even register or recognise. A nice mood piece with some terrifically hot smut and a gentler than expected ending. Very nice all around!
