I kind of lost my words, too--which is just as unlikely for me as for Minerva, so well-done!
Oh, Mystery Author, I'm so so sorry for not responding for days! Life has been kicking my ass, and I bookmarked this on Saturday before going to work and then didn't get back to it until just now.
I'm so glad that I set aside a little time for it, though! I'm so lucky to have this gift! You really took my prompt and did wonderful things, giving Rosmerta such depth, such a tortured spirit, yet surrounding her with such wise friends and a lover who was up to the task.
You also (as far as I know; hypnosis is a kink I've heard about but not experienced) really captured the loveliness of this sort of submission, and the way that it sort of slithers inside a brain. It's so wonderful to see it used as a sort of healing tool, and the way there's a part of Rosmerta under hypnosis that is very very willing to go along with what Minerva tells her to do. "Lost in a fog of pleasure and fire." Yes. UNF.
And Poppy and the Muggle magazine! (Oh, Poppy.) And the sweet, familiar, playful way Rosmerta and Minerva are with each other. This is a relationship I believe in, because it seems so broken-in.
