I really enjoyed this. I love how the near-death experience has changed Severus's outlook. It's always seemed to me that his sarcasm and cutting remarks in the books (and in most fic) were defensive, masking a lot of inner pain. In this story it seems he doesn't really need those defenses anymore. It's not that you've made him "nice", he's still himself, but himself after having sorted out a few things, and that is very appealing to me.
