I *love* Severus/Draco and I think what I particularly liked about this was the insecure side of Severus. That just made his test for Draco so much more compelling for me, because I think he has just as big a stake in the outcome as Draco and for me that's one of my favorite things in D/s, when they are both equally invested in the relationship.
