For such a simple story, it actually took me far too long to pull it all together, so it's great to hear that it worked for you. :) Charlie watching for Draco's reactions, mmmmf, yes indeed. He's not quite sure why Draco asked for this, so it's partly out of pure curiosity. And partly out of the basic difficulty of ever not looking at Draco every chance you get when you're already in love with him. :D
lol, that Weasley family. :) I had to stop before pondering Harry's request any further, lest the H/D shipper in me get unleashed. I do like the idea of them being awkward brothers-in-law, though, and never telling each other what their family initiation thing was. :)
