I really, really like this story. The motif of colors works so effectively, and you capture Minera so exactly at the different points in her life. The scene with Luna is a triumph, tactful and beautiful and erotic. I love the way you've pulled together magic and canon and strong characterization and the very believable premise of "Post-Traumatic Magic loss" into such a thoughtful, layered fic. I love the strength Minerva shows throughout and the way you keep her wry humor with her (Albus is right about it). And that scene with Tom -- wow. Powerful, painful, plausible.

Lines I like:

panic was rising in her throat - a hot, bitter feeling, like over-brewed coffee

It was instinctive to pull a sharp response around herself, like a tartan cloak against the chill.
Very IC.

his robes so long and sumptuous; the sheen of magic reflected from every weave.
I can see just how it would look to her.

He had a piece of her heart, already, after all, and her loyalty knew no bounds.
Touching and revealing.

Minerva left with an ache between her thighs and a grown-up dryness in her heart; a delicacy, like bitter chocolate - and this only served to make her crave him more.
Excellent line, so descriptive of Tom's effect.

Only a small piece of her was left behind.
Sad and powerful and such an effective contrast to the ending line of the Albus section.

She had been the one to find him there; sickly port-wine on parchment, mouth agape in a silent 'o' and eyes full of unresolved problems, despite their blank stare.
Such an evocative, painful line.

her work crystallized about her like a robe of glass: pure and right, but very, very heavy.
Love this line! Such an apt description.

A great, gasping cry that might have come from one, or both, of them filled the meadow, and then Minerva was herself with stars, and the ever-after.
Lovely. Of course everything "paled to white" after this. Perfect.

And "curative Legilimancy" -- what an inspired idea.

Excellent last line. Just such a fine story all around, and it's something I wasn't sure could be done: it's a believable Minerva/Luna. I'm looking forward to reccing this.
