Your version of Neville is always one of my favorites! This is no exception... but of course now I have to get behind you and force encourage you to write more Dean/Seamus cause you write their relationship SOOOO well.
Some of my favorite lines (though I completely fell in love with the entire exchange here at the end)
He hadn't expected it, but that didn't stop his heart from soaring and then falling as he caught sight of his semi-boyfriend's actual boyfriend standing behind him and looking decidedly boyfriend-ish. I read that with a delicious grin on my face.
"We all like stupid things when we are too young to know better," Dean said. Amen to that one Dean!
And that the rewards for being a semi-hero far outweighed the rewards for saving the day. And THAT is what some people never can grasp about Neville's personality and you get with such ease that it's just a delight to read-- it's the subtlety that makes him so bad ass... and makes us love him.
