Wow! This was fantastic! Way to rekindle my love of Snupin hurt/comfort big time! I love the opening line: Severus had always been too thin and too pale, but now he seemed colorless and very small, like an old black and white photograph with its edges frayed. Wonderful way to establish the story with great imagery. The description of Remus waking up in the Great Hall among the dead is excellent, and I love that it happens before Voldemort is dead when the tension is still in the air. Ending the first part on Severus' 'so this is Hell' line was a great choice.
I enjoyed the realism in this, how it wasn't just a 'you're sick, we need sex magic NAO!' but there was a build up. I also liked Remus exploding himself, and Severus' tart comments. Once Remus finds the book, even tho the ritual happens fast, it's believable because of the build up. And oh my, hot, slick, sweaty ritual frotting and coming all over each other is... WHEW! Very, VERY nice! Severus' surprise that sex magic actually worked is almost as good as his line about 'it won't work, but I want to get laid before I die'. LOL!
Beautifully done, and it both evokes and mixes with the art that inspired it so perfectly. Brava! :)
