What [info]r_grayjoy said -- "creepy and wrong and hot"! It's Poppy's clinical precision that makes this so perfectly shivery, her assumption of "professional" distance. You can just see how gradually and "reasonably" she could reach this point. There's not even any self-justification, really; she doesn't question herself at all.
