First of all, I apologise for taking an absolute age to read and comment on this wonderful fic (I hadn't seen it until r_grayjoy emailed me on Christmas day, and it's only today that I have been reunited with proper internet, post-holidays).
Secondly, though - what a wonderful fic it is, and I thank you very much indeed for writing it for me! Crossdressing!Gilderoy is an absolute treat, and I love the dynamic between the two of them - the way that poor Severus is so cautious about someone being friendly to him at the beginning, and Gilderoy's fluffy-headed but somehow very perceptive remarks and actions. Many of the lines there really hit the nail on the head, characterization-wise:
Gilderoy ran in the circle of the whole entire staff and most of the children, and Severus’ circle was a bit, um, smaller.
and
Gilderoy smiled one of his smiles that just looked like he was going to burst with happiness. Severus never quite knew how he did that, but was afraid that any day he actually would burst and Severus would get a full-on explosion of Gilderoy joy all over himself. <-- This one was particularly lovely; the way you traced Severus' memory of Gilderoy's smile was hauntingly effective.
The sex scenes themselves were ever-so-hot! As others have said above, I really liked the way that the emphasis was always on mutual pleasure and satistfaction, even when their activities were a bit more involved/extreme. The bittersweet tone worked very well too - the framing passages in the hospital, and Severus' feelings of obsession/consumption by the liasion such that it was something of a relief when they went their separate ways - even though he missed his times with Gilderoy very much. Of course, the last line was the killer: Yes, it was true. There was more than one way to keep a secret. It really suits the characters - both together and seperately.
