Count me in with ships_harry on liking the added depth of the sexuality and gender issues. No wonder Lavender's frustrated -- it's like a sexual blinding, but doubled because Wizarding society doesn't want to see it, and neither do the werewolves! The guys -- geez! "Duuuh... there are girl werewolves?" It's so typical how they don't even consider the possibility, and once presented with it, scramble to 'sort of' accomodate it, but mostly to make sure it doesn't mess up the establishment. Rules, rules, rules. The fear/taboo of female sexuality runs deep.
