Second Chances: the Network

I needed a little time to reflect. Had worked deep on converting an Ellington to my own take. I had looked back on how I got to San Franfuc...how I got here and still had no answers.

So I took the gift that I was given in December and used it to go over the rainbow. Click my heels three times and say "There's No Place Like Harlem" right? Turns out, yeah...you can't really go home again. Well you CAN, but after this? There's no real reason to.

Appeared in the place I wanted to see most. Harlem's Paradise. Headed up to my office because there's a nice bottle of Johnny Walker Green that I kept in a hideaway spot. Got on the inside and its...different. Open. Airy. Figured it wasn't the best place to be spotted because God only knows how long its been and I'm probably not sticking around. Anybody who sees me should think I'm haunting the joint. And yeah, I'm perfectly good with that now.

But I digress. My keypad has been removed because there's no real need for security. Seems the new owner doesn't need much protection. Nothing of Mariah. No scraps of Ma Mabelle. Nobody. Everything important was moved off-site and my life. My legacy. My family. Gone.

Maybe its better that I am a ghost. But its on sight for whoever took my Green Label when we get to whatever reward's waiting.

I think I'm losin it. I put something down and then it just ain't there anymore. I swear my wrench keeps growin feet or something. 鬼 maybe.

Did you send me flowers? NOT THAT YOU HAVE TO but there wasn't a card and I can't think of who else might've.

I swear if this magic was a person, I'd put it over my knee. Somehow, I'm stuck with a trail of glitter everywhere I go!

This is the kind of reaction the band should get whenever we enter a room. Not just me.
