I rented Terrene for the night of my birthday starting at 7. I'd love for you all to be there.

I get traditions are tradition. I do. But leave that poor groundhog alone. No matter what happens with his shadow, we have six weeks until the Spring Equinox.

It has always been six weeks no matter how you slice it.

Six weeks till Spring.

Six weeks left of winter.

So I have a ward now.

Okay. So, still wrapping my head around interdimensional travel being possible. I mean, there've definitely been theories and discussions of some sort of multiverse being possible, but there hasn't been any actual evidence or anything.

It's pretty cool, actually. And that there are people with actual magic and superpowers here? Even cooler. I have so many questions.

Anyway, I should definitely introduce myself. My name is Lahela Kamealoha, I'm sixteen years old, and I'm a doctor. So the whole school thing is definitely throwing me a bit. Though it might be fun to see how fast I can get through high school this time. But I do not want to go through med school all over again. Not that it wasn't fun the first time, just don't really feel like starting from the bottom again.

Also, was definitely not prepared for the weather. I'm from Hawaii, so definitely not accustomed to the cold. Or ice.

Hey there! I was told that you were going to be my guardian while I'm here. I just want to say thanks, I can guess that being saddled with a teenager that you don't know definitely isn't an ideal circumstance.

I have never really been a fan of cold weather like this. It makes me think of winters back home, which weren't always kind to my family.

However, one thing that I do like about the cold is making food that just warms the entire body. Thankfully, I have everything I need to make stroganoff, so no need to go out in this weather for groceries. I'm making an extra large pot, so if anyone doesn't want to go out in this to hunt down food, I can save you a plate.

I know TK is better off at home with Carlos, but I'm really going to miss him. And Lou2.

I can't believe that it's almost Christmas. This year has gone by way too fast.

Thanks for joining Adam and I yesterday. That was kind of my first Thanksgiving. I hope I didn't over do it. Adam is a really good cook. And it was great to hang out with both of you.

I'm seeing a correlation between the appearance of turkey feathers, a strong sense of nostalgia for home, and then the arrival of some sort of object. For me, it was a particularly favored magnifying glass.

Would anyone else care to corroborate?

Morgan is already asking to see Santa. I can't wait for all the exciting events starting at the end of the month. What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? I personally can't wait for Thrive City’s Winter Wonderland.

I realize it is somewhat short notice, but if any of you would care to join me at Edge of Glory on Friday night, I'll be taking the evening off from work and instead, celebrating my birthday.

Well the good news is this is going down in October which means I can stress eat Halloween candy while people smarter than me figure out what the hell to do.

I GOT A JOB.

I wasn't worried about it because the government lady assured me they would help me find something, but I thought it might be in a shop or a barista instead of what I was doing at home. But no, they sent me on a few interviews with some different PR firms and I'm going to start on Monday with one that works with entertainment and sports brands.

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone for being so nice. I was really freaked out when I got here and you were all brilliant at answering my questions and helping me understand what the hell was going on.

I know y'all just heard from me, and normally, you know, I sorta just lurk, watch, read your very public conversations (some of y'all are nasty (good for you)).

But today is a very special day, and this painting might not live very long, so I need to share with you Old Nate's wall buddy.

Happy birthday, big guy! Everyone tell Eliot happy birthday when you see him! Sing, too, if you feel like it. He loves that.

Is it weird that I miss my parents the most when I remember my birthday is coming up? Like, not either of their birthdays but my birthday specifically?

Or is that just selfish?

Anyway, sorry, I don't mean to bring anybody down. This one essay I have to write has me all in my feels suddenly.

I have been here long enough to see times like these, where a larger group arrives or returns all at once. It does not make anything easier, it will likely never get any more easy to deal with when we lose loved ones.

But now is a time for support. Ask for it, provide it, whatever you need or are able to do. Check on your neighbors, "our people" or otherwise. The smallest offering can make a world of difference in times like these. We are in this together.
