Second Chances: the Network

I'm seeing a correlation between the appearance of turkey feathers, a strong sense of nostalgia for home, and then the arrival of some sort of object. For me, it was a particularly favored magnifying glass.

Would anyone else care to corroborate?

So...my dog showed up. I'm not talking about Pony, obviously he's been here. But my dog, Backup, from when I was a teenager. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised but I never could have imagined this.

I realize it is somewhat short notice, but if any of you would care to join me at Edge of Glory on Friday night, I'll be taking the evening off from work and instead, celebrating my birthday.

I have been uncharacteristically brave and altruistic during this entire ordeal and I think that I've earned some sort of reward for good behavior. Just saying.

Well the good news is this is going down in October which means I can stress eat Halloween candy while people smarter than me figure out what the hell to do.

What if Edgar Allen Poe had written his poem about a crow instead of a raven? Would it have made a difference? I mean, it makes a difference to me. Ravens think they're so much better than crows. I guess they are kind of superior in size and prowess. I've never really thought about it before. Actually, I don't think I've ever met a raven, but I always knew to stay out of their way. They can be pretty bad tempered, I've heard.

But I wonder if maybe crows wouldn't have such a bad rap if Poe's poem was about a crow and not a raven. Or maybe humans don't really care about any of that.

Anyway, I had to read his poem for class and I kinda liked it.

Someone please explain to me what the hell just happened. The government types said a bunch of shit that I think they made up.

With everything that's been happening this month, I'm finding myself with a suddenly large amount of free time because work is just... not really happening. 😂 So I'm going to go play tourist and check out Fisherman's Wharf, I think, if anyone wants to tag along.
