It's nice to see that the weather seems to be returning to normal.

Just as an fyi to friends & family, Ramadan starts this month. So come sundown on February 17, I will be fasting from sunup to sundown. Till March 18 or 19 or so, depending on when the moonand is sighted.

Okay, so I don't know who thought doing classes through a computer was a good idea - and yes I know the weather sucks - but science class cannot be done properly through a screen. It is something that must be experienced, hands on. Doing science through a screen doesn't work and it's hard to do experiments at home.

We had snow days back home, or... actually... we didn't have that many. I think it had something to do with the fact that the town was so small and the land was flat enough that plows were able to do their jobs quick. But seriously, how long until I can be back in science in person?

Mike and I have been talking about it off and on for awhile, so I figured I would see how much interest other people might have in joining a D&D campaign. If you don't know how to play, we can teach you. It's not as hard as it might seem. We can even do a one shot if anyone wants to try it out, but isn't super committed yet. It can get pretty time consuming, but is a lot of fun. We have some ideas already in the works and Mike is one of the best DMs around.

Think we'll get many people? It would be cool to put some of the things we've been talking about into play. Even if we get just a small group together.

This is my first time really celebrating Christmas, so, hit me with your 'must-try' Christmas traditions.

Also, it seems ridiculous that tomorrow is the last day of finals, but then they want us to have a normal day of class on Friday. Are we actually going to do any work?

I'm stopping by my cousin's for Thanksgiving, but what are we doing with the kids? Joint holiday? I can...cater.

My ward had a rather important birthday (his 18th, to be precise) during last month's nonsense, and while there are no guarantees everything has completely passed, the celebration of this momentous event should not be forfeited by the mere conceit of a calendar date.

As such, who would care to join me this weekend at a venue and experience of Zed's choosing?

It’s obvious that Zed is being chased, he sounds stressed and a lot less Zed-like than usual.

"Loki, it’s me. I’m— at the stadium. Had to get away from people." A snarling noise breaks into his sentence and he struggles to talk around it. "They followed me after classes. My ZBand—"

The phone is knocked from his hand as a loud clatter follows. Voices of others carry over the speaker, shouting at each other directions to trap and grab the monster. There’s a crashing noise as something or someone is thrown into the bleachers. Yells and growls mix together-clearly Zed as he struggles not to be caught, or lose himself completely to his monstrous side.

I have a bump on my head, but it is nothing to worry about. I'm off patrol for a few hours.

Okay, so this is clearly not Boston and not Valhalla. No idea why Odin would send me to San Francisco, this isn't our normal territory. Unless this is just another trick of Loki's, in which case... ugh..

Mister Palmer? I believe you're my guardian here. I won't be much trouble. Just don't mind the axe. I think the only weird thing is that I keep a halal diet, but that mostly just affects meat and I can help take care of that. Or I don't mind eating vegetarian if that's simpler.

I have been here long enough to see times like these, where a larger group arrives or returns all at once. It does not make anything easier, it will likely never get any more easy to deal with when we lose loved ones.

But now is a time for support. Ask for it, provide it, whatever you need or are able to do. Check on your neighbors, "our people" or otherwise. The smallest offering can make a world of difference in times like these. We are in this together.

Little Peter has been asking for a beach day so I think tomorrow's the day. If anyone wants to come, we're planning on packing up the sandcastle building supplies, Addie the Adventure Dog, and a picnic lunch and heading out to Crissy Field. I know we'd love to have friends along and it's supposed to be pretty nice weather for the day.

Pete's mostly hoping to see some whales but apparently windsurfers will do.

So, life doesn't always pause when crazy things start to happen, and my status for Berkeley changed to "Accepted." Yay!??? I'll be enrolling in the College of Letters & Sciences as an undeclared student until something clicks.

[The voice clearly belongs a child and a female, almost a whisper. Suddenly the camera moves, the girl hiding behind something. The image lifts to her face, though she's not looking at the lens. A young girl appears, long black hair, and bright eyes. In the frame you can see more of her clothes.
