So I know there's a lot of people here who can do magic and there's lots of different kinds but is there anyone who's like...actively studying magic? And how to do it correctly? Or like... Okay, if it's weird say so, but is there a Coven around here?

There's someone new here. Her name is Diana and she's pretty new to doing magic. Apparently she's got this whole Light vs Dark thing going on in her and she has a hard time controlling the Dark part and I was kind of wondering if maybe you had any advice for her or if there was anything you could do to help her or anything and you obviously don't have to, especially if it's like triggering or anything but if you could or if you know anything that might help her, that'd be really cool.

It's the start of the first quarter, you're still finishing up Q4, so of course the day is back-to-back meetings. Smash-cut to the end of it all, you finally get a chance to check your phone for anything non-work related and—would you look at that?

It's funny that no matter how many different calendars I learn about - lunar, solar, other planetary ones... something about the Terran calendar year turning over still feels like a new start.

So, Lila mentioned this on National Cookie Day and lots of folks have been talking about cooking and baking - would we want to do a holiday potluck / cookie / whatever exchange? open to everyone, no cooking required.


Also, I've managed to build & juryrig some sleighs into sand sleds, so at the stables will be doing sleigh rides on the beach through new years. If you want to see me drive a sleigh with a team of horses - and maybe be dressed like Santa.

Not to be weird, but I came back from class Friday and my computer was here. Like my custom set up from home. With all of our programs.

I took it apart piece by piece to make sure there was no suspicious additions, and I swept it twice for anything that could be pulling data from it, and it's absolutely clean.

I still feel like I should be suspicious.

Chris didn't really get the longer chance that I did to try and let everything sit for a little while. I went back home to live more of our lives and got back on the 6th here. Not long to be gone but enough to worry some. I might not have had a say in it but I am sorry for the worry I caused.

Whatever that feather was that I found later, I didn't expect to find my away-mission armor in my closet later. I think my heart wanted a better way of protecting me and mine should something like last month happen again.

Really not a fan or this place making Una disappear a day after I came back. Talk about taking the cake for bad timing.

Kind of a random question, but is anyone good at woodwork? Or good with trees in general?

I thought I should maybe let people know Chris went missing yesterday. His stuff all still seems to be here and he knows better than to take off without letting Una or me know so we assume he's coming back but that doesn't always work or maybe it does and I don't know and it still seemed smart to let people know just in case he's gone a while.

I do not wish to cause alarm, but it should be known that there was an attack last night on some of the wolves.

While I have no information on who they were or why they were there, I did gather an immense feeling of anger and panic from them as they retreated. One of them may also have some broken bones. Do with that information as you will.

Cafeteria talk today at school was about Halloween costumes. I said I was thinking about being Freddy Mercury, and one of the kids asked who that was.

I feel outraged and old. More outraged, I think. How do they not know Queen? I get it if one of us from a different universe doesn't know, but from here, when I know I've seen their albums on both vinyl and CD? Inconceivable.

If anyone hears a smoke alarm going off on the 17th floor, ignore it. I've just removed the batteries and the offending pot of water and it won't be going off again anytime soon.
