Probably not a bad idea to document who's getting wings. I haven't seen anything about it on the local outlets, so it seems this might be another "just us" sort of thing.

Uhhhh... this morning has been interesting.

Nonna Inga, the grandma ghost who lives with us, decided I needed to learn how to make a good stew to help with the cold.

I have never really been a fan of cold weather like this. It makes me think of winters back home, which weren't always kind to my family.

However, one thing that I do like about the cold is making food that just warms the entire body. Thankfully, I have everything I need to make stroganoff, so no need to go out in this weather for groceries. I'm making an extra large pot, so if anyone doesn't want to go out in this to hunt down food, I can save you a plate.

High beams really don’t do much in this freezing fog, the light just bounces back at you. Be careful if you’re driving today.

Needless to say the redhead stayed tucked away in her parking spot. If the roads ice over, myself and the Ninja will be tiptoeing home.

So. Birthday at the end of the month. 14 is not as exciting as 13, but we'll make it a banger.

The thing I'm most thankful for this year is that at Halloween I asked the most beautiful, brilliant, and intelligent woman in the world to marry me. And I'm even MORE thankful that Dee said yes!

Yes, it's a little earlier than we initially planned but this place is chaotic at best and it felt like the time to do the asking.

No, we haven't set a date, everything is still very much in the planning stage and we might do the long engagement thing cause, you know, still in school and all and we're going to probably play it by ear.

I think I found a space for us. It does have a neighbor, but the house abuts a wooded area where we could run.

It's 90 minutes South, on about 20 acres, and it's set up to be a vineyard. We could use that as a cover.

For Thursday, I'll make cinnamon rolls and a fruit salad for breakfast, then I think we have invitations to join other dinners, so we'll pick and choose where we go for actual Thanksgiving.

Henry is joining us at Phil and Matt's, and I'll officially introduce him as my boyfriend. Partner? My person. At any rate, we had the intentions talk, and that's where we landed. I wanted the three of you to be the first to know.

Alright, I’ve slept on it. You know moving is really exhausting, and I’d kind of just got done moving into a place. Or I thought I was, before getting zapped here yesterday. But this time the moving didn’t come with any of my stuff or my cat, so I’m pretty annoyed about that.

I'm glad that the craziness of last month seems to be over. Hopefully it stays that way.

I realize this is probably only of interest to a small subset of people, but the debate on the Nanotyrannus has finally been settled - it's not just a juvenile T. rex, but a separate genus. About half the length and one tenth the body mass. (Okay, so word on the paleontology circuit is that this is still going to be debated, but it's still fascinating news.)

Molly and I went to get ice cream as a date like we usually do and we were waiting at the bus stop to take the bus home again like we usually do and then some guy come up to us and he was like "I found two of them" and like we were the only two people at the bus stop so I think he was talking about us but I have no idea who he is but he seemed to know who me and Molly are and that was not cool but he wasn't very friendly and he was talking to other people, but I didn't see them and I didn't want to get into a fight or let Molly get into a fight so I grabbed her and I ran as fast as I could but they have these traps for fast runners and it was like a trip wire or something and it knocked me off balance and I feel real hard and my arm really hurts and there is probably more of them throughout the city and I couldn't really pick up Molly anymore so we couldn't run but they were still looking for us so we tried to go around the long way and get back to the building but we got outside of the city and now we can't get back into the city and we don't really have any money for a hotel or nothing and I also don't know if hotels will let teenagers buy rooms

Well, this is... unexpected. It seems one can't get back across the bay into the city tonight? Came to Berkeley today to teach & work at the museum here and now.... Not sure how I'm supposed to get to work tomorrow? the ride share cost to go around... It's not the first time I've slept in my office and I'm sure it won't be the last.

OOC: As of Tues, Oct 14, Henry is hosting a sleepover for residents at UCBerkeley's Museum of paleontology and has arranged some rooms at the Berkeley lab guest house. (Yay department funds!) Any residents stuck in Berkeley/Stanford are welcome.

I do not wish to cause alarm, but it should be known that there was an attack last night on some of the wolves.

While I have no information on who they were or why they were there, I did gather an immense feeling of anger and panic from them as they retreated. One of them may also have some broken bones. Do with that information as you will.

Since we've had a few new arrivals, I figured it'd be worth it for me to tell folks what I do here. I run a a bit of a consulting firm, that draws on the talents of many of our residents. Consider it an unofficial loose network of superheroes, do-gooders, and vigilantes.

We keep tabs on local chatter from law enforcement and the like and help out where possible, doing what we can to help get clean up the city and make it safer.
