I'm seeing a correlation between the appearance of turkey feathers, a strong sense of nostalgia for home, and then the arrival of some sort of object. For me, it was a particularly favored magnifying glass.

I have been here long enough to see times like these, where a larger group arrives or returns all at once. It does not make anything easier, it will likely never get any more easy to deal with when we lose loved ones.

But now is a time for support. Ask for it, provide it, whatever you need or are able to do. Check on your neighbors, "our people" or otherwise. The smallest offering can make a world of difference in times like these. We are in this together.

I have this weird feeling. I thought I already knew and understood what it felt like to be human, but I guess I still have a lot more to experience before fully understanding.
