Baby bro and I made a little discovery while we were on patrol last night. Several little discoveries, actually.

No sign of a mother, and we waited and watched for a while. Obviously we brought them home, we weren't going to just leave them in an alley, who does that? By the way, have you ever tried to carry six kittens in a jacket before? Damian had the other two, sure, but it's an experience.

Anyway, the two kittens with arrows are staying with us, but the other six are looking for homes. They're about five weeks from what we can figure. They're trying the wet food but they're still going to need some bottle feeding or maybe gruel? We've been on the phone with the vet figuring the details out.

Oh, I'm supposed to tell you that Damian will be vetting the applications for kittens and he takes his job very seriously, so put your best foot forward. Also you have to adopt them in pairs because single kittens? Not a good idea.

Friday night drinks with the crew got a little out of hand.

I now have a fucking candy cane tattooed on my calf. Can anyone recommend a removal place when this thing is healed enough to do so?

So the sort of holidays where people get together and celebrate over food haven't really been my thing most of my adult life, but I can make some pretty decent matzah balls and challah bread if anyone is looking to add a little Jewish flair to the table for Thanksgiving next week.

You know, I was kind of a mess back where I came from, but I guess a fresh start is what I really needed right now. Maybe I do actually deserve, you know, a second chance.

Today's my birthday and normally I wouldn't celebrate it, but this year feels like it should be considered special, so I'm trying to figure out something to do on short notice.

I'm not sure what just happened exactly but I think I got a first edition copy of Nineteen Eighty Four from the Book Mobile driver? It's probably a fake, right? It's definitely not an actual first edition of Nineteen Eighty Four by George Orwell. That's ridiculous. That would be worth... thousands of dollars, it's not something you just hand out for free.

Has anyone moved into the new apartments yet? How is it?

So, I have a couple of thoughts I'd like to throw out there and see what sticks, if anyone's willing to humor me.

1. Blanket statement: I'm kind of a loner and pretty awful at making friends. It's a long-ish story, but it all stems from the fact that I can't be touched. With that said, I was wondering if anyone would like to go out and do something that doesn't involve a lot of people? I'd never been to this side of the country before, let alone in the year 2026, so I don't really know what there is to do.

2. Apparently I need a job. Thoughts? Suggestions? Never really had one of those, either. Unless you count working for a government agency that finds mutants
